NBA 2K23 MyCareer doesn't run plays at all, only freelance

Has anyone else experienced this? I put all of the settings the way i normally put them in every 2K game and there's no plays being called or run, only 3 out 2 in active and 4 out 1 in active and some meaningless off ball screens.
How can i fix this?
Also, why does every MyCareer game on Hall of Fame difficulty end up with players not hitting open shots and every game being in the 90s in points?
