Loading Animations to Blender

Hey Guys,

New to this all, so sorry if this is a stupid question. I am hoping to be able to load players, along with their animations into Blender (or some external 3D software). I know you can potentially do both individually, but I was hoping there is a way I can do them both together so I can set the players dunking/doing things in a custom scene.
