And a summary:
- A new Badge progression system has been introduced, which is more similar to MyCAREER.
- When creating your player, you'll see the available number of Badges in four categories: Finishing, Shooting, Playmaking, and Defense.
- Each category has a meter, which is filled by playing games and performing well in those areas. Filling the meter earns Badge Points, which are used to earn and upgrade Badges.
- Badges can be customised, and it will be possible to save custom loadouts specific to your MyPLAYER.
- Off-Days now have three additional playable activities to help build your player: Scrimmages, Team Practices, and Contact Workouts.
- Scrimmages are a short game with your team, lasting one quarter.
- Team Practices allow you to earn progress on Badge Points, akin to the familiar practices in MyCAREER.
- Contact Workouts will help you to develop new skills.
- Making connections with other WNBA players will allow you to train with them and challenge them to games in NBA 2K22. These games can earn big boosts to Badge progress.
- Three WNBA contacts will be available when you start out in The W.
- It will now be possible to link with friends before beginning a game in The W Online.
- The W Online games will earn Season XP, as with the connected online experiences in MyCAREER.
- Seasons will add new historical contacts that you can earn, as well as other rewards.
