I'm new to NBA2k, got 21 on Pc and am really struggling to shoot.
I only play career mode. Created a SG and my shooting and 3pt are around 80, with sharp shooter, flex release, catch and shoot badges. I can score around 40pt per game with dunks and layups on Superstar mode but find 'proper' shooting so hard. Any time I try one from open the meter is so small, even if I hit the middle of it I am never green and the shot almost never drops. So much so I don't even bother which seems very unrealistic. Are there any tips or advice? If I practice in my court I have a much larger meter and hit around 50-60% but in games it is completely different???
For some background i have played sports games for years, mainly FIFA and MLB the Show as I like the career modes and I don't seem to have had the same problems? I could hit shots in the starter modes but am finding it mad on superstar and in the Park. There are guys on there with 3pt rating in the 30s who have massive meter and never seem to miss?!
Is there somewhere apart from park where I can practice in a game situation? I hate ruining peoples games by missing easy shots though I am aware some others don't have the same issue?
