ALL IN ONE GUIDE and DIRECTORY for MODDING

Greetings!
Since 2011 I was playing vanilla NBA 2K but everything changed in 2015 when I discovered a mod for NBA 2K14. From there, I downloaded a lot of mods from our modders and eventually got intrested and tried modding stuff personally in my free time because I was still a freshman high school student.

With the knowledge and information I amassed over the years, I decided that I should make a guide (especially for correct formats) for the aspiring modders out there as a way of giving back to this wonderful community. I will try to make as clean and simple as possible.

As I have observed changing files not saving it to RIGHT format may cause crashes, glitches, bugs, and black screens.

HOW TO INSTALL MODS

Programs needed for modding:
Blender (for model editing)
Photoshop/Gimp (for photo manipulation)
Notepad++
7Zip/Winrar

Note:
#1 I use Intel Texture Works for the .DDS plugin. You can use NVIDIA DDS
#2 XXXX or xxxx stands for numbers or IDs that vary

CYBERFACES

faceXXXX.iff (The Face)


face_color.dds: Color + Alpha BC7 Fine sRGB (any bc7 format will do but I prefer the Fine sRGB one)


face normal.dds: Color BC6H Fine UH16



For resizes, edit the values inside the face_color.TXTR and face_normal.TXTR.
