Help getting modded court on console

Postby SakhalinSeaLions on Fri May 22, 2020 9:56 pm

I'm glad to now be part of NLSC or really any basketball or basketball video game community. I'm Ray and a big Sonics and 2k myleague fan. Or just Sea Lions via the username ("Sakhalin" is an oil rich part tundra island north of Japan.)

I talked with TGsoGood or the Goods on YT about a modded 2000's Sonics court on console but he's a cool cat with alot of modding to do seeing as he added baskets to long time basket-less courts. He didnt respond to my last comment so I'm unsure if hes interested in transferring the replica Sonics court to PS4 (my console, though an XBOX release will get x2 the love from the community.) Thunder Shaq has already made a 2k20 PC mod with the Sonics court in it and I believe there is another retro roster in the works also with the court. So hopefully it will be a transfer as opposed to a design and transfer. To be honest, I think the community will love this court whether or not they realize it right now and whether or not it is editable. Even if I just got the court design with the yellow baseline that would be wonderful. And as awesome as the KeyArena quirks would be I think the courts on the redesign console tab are really lacking without the baseline.

Sorry for any nusiance I just can't get myself to stick to a Myleague without the court. I'm really hoping to get this court as I would pretty much pay for another 60$ 2k copy just for it. I alerted 2k on the possibly of just adding the 2000's Seattle team in 21' so I'm hopeful on that.

Thank you all and if anyone does take this up as project, just know your work is highly appreciated and this will pop off greatly in my honest opinion. Have a good day y'all.

No roster or jerseys needed, just the replica court scheme.

Custom art files can't be used with the console versions.

Ah I wonder if they updated the game or something for that recently. There's alot of modded courts in the team downloader so I thought it was possible. Oh well thanks for telling me especially if people say so again. I guess I'll listen to Mohombi for 3 months until sports and school start up... haha

Ah, if you're talking about the rebranding options in MyLEAGUE, then you can obviously use custom images that way. Downloadable presets aren't cross-platform though, unfortunately. You could re-create it yourself if someone were to give you the images and design configuration settings (exact placement, colour values, etc), but yeah, the presets aren't cross-platform.

Right now, there's no way to transfer pc mods to the consoles. But in your myleague do you know about the relocation option? You can download plenty of options for sonics throwbacks and courts, and you can even customize your own.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm just really obsessive over the 2000's Sonics and wanted the same court with the yellow baseline and design. Sorry if its too petty but I really saw big potential in the court being famous in the 2k community. Like I used to be of the few making alternative Sonics jerseys (on PS4) and now they're commonplace in 2k20. I really wanted it for my self too as a fan of the currently defunct team and on the flip side it looked easier than say making an airplane runaway with basketball hoops (there's some non-arena and many HS arenas on the console but I would totally believe if it got patched.)

But yeah I'm a big myleague fan so I do download teams and a little uploading also. I attached an example of the design here. Too bad I didn't request this at release as it seems like there has been some patching on 2ks part. I might buy the PC version but I just don't have a decent computer right now.
