https://www.mediafire.com/file/61qa2dk9bd67mq3/cf_converter_beta.zip/file
Included in the download is....
a) Tool directory, which is the "2k20_cfconvert_kit" folder
b) All the relevant files for George Mikan, who is the example included. This includes the face and png archives for R4zor's 2K19 George Mikan mod (with accurate glasses added in), as well as the converted face and png archives directly from my modded folder. If you want to also have the 2K20 default files for George Mikan, you will have to extract them yourself since it's against the rules for me to upload them
Inside the tool directory you will see Mikan's example files that are already placed and named correctly to illustrate what it should look like. I will continue to update this post whenever I can to add in additional information/instructions.

Well at least you got far enough to figure out how to actually do the conversion. LOL
TGsoGood wrote:What I did below
hihead.model = model you want to convert from past game
hihead.scne= from past game
nba2kxx.model = 2K20 Model

Does he have the "looking up" or "looking off to the side" issue? I ran into that doing 2K18 to 2K17 conversions, and found a fix at the time.
It looks like his eyes are rolling back a little by default in that screen.

I intended to follow it with a guide on how to use it, but I fell asleep immediately afterwards. I didn't mean to leave you all in a lurch scrambling to figure out how to use the tool.
Here is a PDF of a guide that I typed out this morning. Hopefully this clears up any remaining questions you have. If not, don't hesitate to ask and I will do the best I can to clear things up.

Thanks for the guide. As a newer person to working with these conversions, could you please briefly detail what the converted .SCNE and .model file should look like when opened up in blender?
I'm testing with a 2k18 CF.
- ran the .exe and generated the new .SCNE and .model
- looked to copy the MATERIALS/PRIM sections from the 2K18 template over to the converted SCNE but they seem identical?
- i tried opening up the exported .SCNE/.model in blender but it looks like the base 2k20. should this be the case? i'm trying to figure out how i know the conversion worked properly.

Not every 2k20 png works as base....example png2061.iff doesn't work for me while others works perfectly....al least this is my experience.
