Olympic Basketball Legacy V6 Preview:

Team USA Practices Against the NBA All-Stars

It's 1984, and the Americans are preparing to compete in the Olympic Games. At this point, NBA players were still prohibited from representing Team USA, so it was up to the best college players. This team was expected to perform well with talents such as future Dream Team members Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, and Chris Mullin. The NBA put some of its notable stars and hall of fame players to train Team USA. Some of the players the NBA selected include Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Alex English, and Clyde Drexler. For each game against Team USA, the NBA would utilize a different roster to assist in matchups, playstyles, and chemistry. Expectations were high for the Americans, and they delivered. A total of eight games were played against the two teams, with Team USA emerging victorious in all eight. The series of games is perhaps best remembered for Jordan's dominance against some of the NBA's greatest, and how the NBA would get to experience the birth of a new legend.

Thanks for the good words! The project is not dead, so be on the lookout for the next version sometime within the next month or so. We're making HUGE additions to the project, and we're not limiting ourselves to just Olympic teams

asty08 came up with a formula for Galis: Jump Shot 53, Release 61, Animation Blending 68, with Westbrook layup package for contact finishes. Speaking of which, there might be a surprise involving an old-school Greece team coming soon...

Three Seconds

Since its inauguration as an Olympic event in 1936, the United States solidified itself as the most dominant basketball team in the Summer games. While NBA players weren't eligible to participate due to their professional status, that didn't stop Team USA's success. Leading into the games in Munich, the United States would hold an unprecedented record of 63-0 prior to the gold medal game. There, the United States would face the Soviet Union in one of the most controversial games in basketball history. Tensions between the two countries were at an all-time high between the Cold War and the chance to get the better of each other at sporting events. The USSR would enter players from CSKA Moscow, as they were not considered professional basketball club at the time. The Soviets consisted of international legends such as Sergei Belov, Aleksandr Belov, and Modestas Paulauskas. On the other hand, the United States team was the youngest in the team's history, featuring future NBA players Doug Collins, Bobby Jones, and Dwight Jones. The game quickly became a physical battle of supremacy which contained player ejections, an injury to Jim Brewer which rendered him unable to continue the game, and Doug Collins hitting clutch free throws after being fouled hard. The final three seconds of the game are when the controversy took place. A total of three inbound players for the USSR would be played under certain circumstances. The first being the Soviet assistant coach Sergei Bashkin assuming the team called a time-out during Collins' free throw attempts which resulted in an impromptu play by the USSR. The play failed and it seemed as if the United States won the game. The clock was reset to three seconds with Ivan Edeshko attempting a play with Aleksandr Belov that won the Soviet Championship the year prior. The play would consist of a full-court pass to Belov for the quick layup. Their second inbounds play failed, but the clock was once again reset to three seconds. On the third inbounds play, the full-court pass worked, and the United States would lose its first Olympic basketball game in history. To this day, the results and reason why the clock was reset so many times are still disputed to this day, and all of the 1972 Team USA players have refused their silver medals.

I have to admit, my knowledge doesn't go that far and it was indeed interesting to read and learn that such a controversial event took place.

I read an article about that game and it was written in it that Edeshko substitute was illegal but in this chaos no one noticed that, also Table referees wanted to award a Russians time-out before first throw but Kondrashin refused and want it after second but since they spoke only in German they thought he resigned from timeout at all so basically a langauage barrier caused this whole situation.

Kindly help me , upon downloading the version 1, config and waigua from 1-12, from 2-12 there is an extraction error,
also how can i find the version 1 roster in 2k share? can you send me the link/?

Then i downloaded the versions 2-5 then applied it.
The game works, but i missing some CFs and courts. maybe because of the errror in 2-12, can you send me a new link? Also the 2000 teams (US and France), have no scoreboard, even i loaded some of the newscorebug,iff

Highly appreciated if you can help me or anyone can help me.

I did what you have told, i put all the 1-12 files in 1 folder then I highlighted all 12 files then i select extract here. waigua folder is created. 8.44 gb is the size. can you confirm the file size please ? i just dont want to loose some files especially CFs and courts.

I just wondering, if i done it correctly, why there is a missing CFs specially the star players of the team. and some of the courts are color black (floor). I used 2k20 Tools, some CFs and courts , I correctedly work. the missing CFs and courts are now found but there are still missing CFs and courts.

BTW, i only using USA Teams homecourt. 10 teams of USA and the one they fought the Finals. from 1984 - 2020. sample: 1992 usa vs croatia, redeem team vs spain,etc. thats the teams i just modifed from the 2k20 tools, if there is no CFs and courts. But still there are missing CFs for the other teams per year that didnt make it to the Finals , of course, except for 2004 USA team..

i have no problems for the roster now and jerseys. thanks for that.

my problems are CFs and 5 home courts, namely, 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996 and 2004. locations: USA, korea, spain, atlanta, athens, respectively, these are black floor courts when loading. i downloaded nba 2k20 courts from the Net just to have their court, sample, space jam and lakers court, only to have court for them.

can you please send the 5 COURTS that i dont have.

for CFs, i modded the CFS of missing to slam dunk team CFs, i downloaded it, then i put it on the CFs missing.

Just saying, these mods, I doing it for 1 week now.

In using 2k20 tools, in selecting stadium, what should be the correct in the fields: dornas id, LED ID, arena file, floor file

is arena file and floor file should be the same number or what?

Just saying after i installed correctly the version 1, i downloaded the versions 2-5. then updated the waigua folders, config and roster, updates, etc , but as i said earlier. misssing CFs and 5 courts.

5 courts missing; 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996 and 2004.

i dont know how to mods these courts, i keep on trying to mods, using 2k20 Tool, since day 1 until now. can you just please send me the floor files or all the files needed to make it work. the missing courts.

i already did the 5 courts. it works. using 2k20 Tools. 2000, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020.

i dont know if i missing a file in missing courts or im not doing it right, but I did the 5 courts. please help..

You think about adding some of the FIBA teams? Teams that come to mind are like the 1998 USA, 2002 USA, 2003 USA, 2006 USA, 2007 USA, 2010 USA, 2014 USA and 2019 USA Teams. That would be hella great foundation before adding the other countries to the mod. You have done a tremendous job with this mod, and I look forward to the next update.
