Forcing coaching staff to E-League team slot?

I wanted to use the 30 E-League slots to add more historic teams to the base roster. Is there any way to force staff onto the E-League teams using cheat engine? Whenever I try to do it in game, I keep getting the incomplete coaching staff screen regardless of manually filling in the slots. I can't even try backing out and saving because of that stupid screen. Now the slots are practically unusable for me, since whenever I try to play a game with a team from that slot, sometimes theres a cut to show the coachs reaction while I shoot free throws, but since the E-League teams dont have a coach assigned, my game inadvertently crashes. Does anyone know a work around for this?
