Model swapping custom players?

I think this is the right section to ask this, apologies if it should be somewhere else.

This video's floated around for a while, and is essentially what I want to do with my copy of 2k19. I'm familiar with the blender exporter and NBA 2K archiver, the roadblock I run into is actually finding the player files in the archives, and if I can edit created players or if its just the existing roster. I had a look around here but I couldn't find a tutorial that dealt with this. If anyone could point me in the right direction or explain how I'd go about pulling off a model swap like this then I'd greatly appreciate it!
