excellent would be a lighting style 2k14 was the best lighting of the super real stadiums both in lighting and in reflections as if you were watching the game live...I mean something like nba live 19

I think I found a way to increase or eliminate the darkness of the top, but I achieved it using crowd_lighting. FxTweakables 2K19 of each team and not that of 2k16, has some different things, but the rest is very similar:
Brightness is offset 000001A4
Luminosity is offset 000001C8
Shadow is offset 000001EC
darkness is offset 00000210

Here I show you a proof of the reduction of darkness
just a small problem that I think will have a solution. The first rows of the corners of the backgrounds are more illuminated and not like the rest, I guess it will be easier to find it
Image

I really have that stadium edited like that

I hope all this helps to make better editions in the game

Using FxTweakables can you also control seats / stairs lighting? Becouse if you light up the crowd you also have to light up chairs / stairs....

Image

I'm sure there is a lightmap texture also...but Just wondering if we can control it using .Fx files....

BTW great work on this thread :applaud:

What values are you using to get rid of the darkness of the top of the arena?

High values, between 50 and 99, offset 00000210.
Do not forget that you have to use crowd_lighting. FxTweakables 2K19

I personally think that a really good approach is:

- Look at a stadium lighting / crowd that you like
- Export FxTweakables files
- Import into desired stadium to get desired ligthing

For example I had a retro Philly stadium which was tooo dark; I import from another stadium and now the crowd is more alive...just my two cents....

Hi Bongo88
Did you find which files or values to change player body and jersey lighting like Michael's mod?
It is because the effect makes it too bright, I want to reduce it.

It is my picture which was shown in Michael's post.

@Bongo88....maybe you can help me....why on some retro stadium (s595.iff) seems like upper crowd can't be lighten/darken ???

Thanks in advance

EDIT: using Santicruyff method I got it...now I will work to adjust all of the 4 parameters and get a balanced look (in this picture I put some really huge numbers)

Image

I will post 2000 Sixers Stadium final look later today (Y)

I was trying to lit up 2000 Sixers Stadium and I just discovered this:

Image

the file crowd_seats.bfb0caec4dd60add.dds somewhat control crowd lighting.....look at the upper part of the crowd

For example if you replace this texture with a full black texture you will see no crowd at all...

More on this later.....

Got it!

Image

I take those files highlighted in blue from s000.iff (current philly) and bring them over s595.iff without renaming or so on....

Image

This literally bring current Philly crowd and darkening into 2000 Sixers (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y)

Now that i have a uniform crowd I can use crowd_lighting.FxTweakablesto control brightness and so on (Y)

p.s.

default was like that one:

I think You have to rename the files cos arena/crowd.scn call them.

Look inside Crowd.SCNE you don't have......as you can see I got it without renaming becouse I moved .SCNE file too from one arena to the other....so renaming is not required

Very good discoveries :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: , sorry if I have not been able to help before, but I've been very busy.
Just one thing about this, replace the crowd.CrowdData in this 2k makes it disappear public, I guess there is some incompatibility, but these advances are very good.
After what you did these days I tried to edit it and I got this

Image

What it edited was the following:
in crowd_lighting.FxTweakables
offset 000001A4 float = 0.00975
offset 000001C8 float = 5000.99
offset 00000210 float = 395.35
PostEffect.FxTweakables
offset 0000015C float = 1.79
offset 00000180 float = 4500.29
offset 000001A4 float = 0.1280

I hope it helps, and thank you very much for all you contribute, make this even more fun

I saw a video on Instagram today (link below) The animation that occurs when the basketball passes through the pot is much more beautiful. It is different from the real animation of the game. Can this be the main? Is it possible with the mod? How can I reach. Help please :(
