Unless the process has changed:

1. Start Limnono
2. Start 2k19
3. Press F1
4. In-game, go to the custom roster you want
5. Press F10
6. Launch a new MyCareer
7. $$$

You can also trade players with limnono if you don't wanna start a new career

Yep, any two players you select will be traded on any given gamemode or roster. You can trade players to make up whatever team you want. If you wanna play with MJ, just trade someone on your roster for him.
