I've been messing with sliders all day. My goal is to improve some of the movement issues that come with the default game, which includes: Speed and acceleration breaks, more realistic first steps/movement around the basket, more accurate feeling fastbreaks, etc. Also, this set is supposed to help some with the "Invisible Wall" issue, as well as being bumped every time you turn the corner.
I can't do anything about the skating/sliding and floating issues, but I feel like I can make the game feel better overall by fixing the fixable, or atleast curving some of the issues.
NOTE: I am not considering this a SIM or ARCADE slider set, it's supposed to overall improve the movement and your experience overall with the game. I just played a full 48 minute game with this set (Human vs Human), and the game felt better moving around the court. It seems to have improved some of the sluggish movement as well as decrease the number of speed breaks.
Sliders are on 2K share under Dee4three Sliders
- Start with HOF as default, and adjust per my screenshots below (Or download my sliders off of 2Kshare).
* Put your game speed at 48.
* Pass speed: 65 - Passes by default are slow in this game, causing frustrating turnovers. If you up the pass speed slider, it makes it so passing is less delayed, and the passes themselves are faster and more realistic. Players pass with oompf, like in real life.
*Body-up Sensitivity:0 - This being at 0, cuts down on the "Invisible Wall" issue a tad, but also stops excessive slow motion side by side movement that occurs in the game. Because of this, your first step and dribble move matter more, and players feel more explosive. This is also supposed to cut down on the "sbeimg sucked in"
*Jump Shot defense strength gather and release: 40 - Lowering this to 40, makes it so if you have the appropriate space to hit a shot, you are not forced into a protected shot or a wild miss. This allows you to play ore realistically when blue sky is present for a shot.
* Acceleration: 65 This seems to cut down on the speed breaks/sluggish play that happens. Players have a quicker and more realistic first step/catch and go, and are more explosive off the dribble.
* Speed: 57 Just as it's advertised, it's supposed give the game a more real life NBA action feel, as well as cut down on some of the speed breaks.
* Speed with ball/acceleration with ball: 75/50 ratio - Players in 2K19 run up and down the floor unrealistically slow, and fastbreaks are extremely underwhelming with the defaults of 70-30 ratio. This makes it so fastbreaks have more realistic speed from the ball handler, and combining the this with speed and acceleration increases for off ball players, the fastbreaks are more fun and realistic.
The video is human vs human, but notice the difference in how the players move around the court. This is all about LOOSENING up the movement, giving you the user more control. It's me trying to unlock the potential this game has.
UPDATE: 09/29/2018
So I've been experimenting with the sliders, trying to combine the areas I mentioned that are the most important. This slider set takes two forms, one (Which will be the main set) is more to challenge you against the CPU, and in order to hold them to realistic shooting percentages, you will have to play sound defense. The second set is tailored around a more loose approach, and the more loose approach is having the CPU offense sliders match the user sliders. As you noticed, none of my shooting sliders or overall sliders are pro or sub pro difficulty, because I think most everybody can agree that it's too easy.
*Game Speed: 48










For User, everything else is the same but the offense section at the top. Here are those sliders.

*Hidden is contact shot success, which should be at 48
I'll state again: If you want to relax the gameplay a bit, keep all the sliders the same but change the CPU offense (top section) to the User sliders from that section.
And, if you want a better challenge than both options above, do HOF shooting for CPU and User, while keeping the other sliders the same.

Hi all, sorry I've been away.
Played a game with tweaked movement sliders. Since one of the recent patches, the game seemed to be slowed down even more (with speed breaking more). I changed the movement sliders to a 80-60 splits, with the acceleration slider increased to 80, I also upped the game speed from 48 to 50. The fastbreaks (As you will see in this video) look better with a more realistic pace with these adjustments. The stats are at the end of the video. With these movement sliders, you don't have the annoying "Offensive player slowing down with the ball for no reason on the fastbreak" or the "Defender transferring to the ball handler" or "Defender unnaturally sliding in front of the ball handler" on the break.
The PIP splits are fantastic for the CPU, I was attacking the paint more which is why mine are higher, the CPU was shooting a lot of threes, and the free throws look decent. The rebounds are high because of the pace I was playing at, but the off/def rebound ratio looks great. Most importantly, the game feels solid. The free throw numbers I am overall happy with, and I LOVE the shooting percentages. This game was played with my HOF base for shooting (For user and CPU, with the tweaks I listed above as well as the sliders screens I posted most recently.
With Jimmy Butler and Justin Patton being traded to the 76ers today for Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Bayless and a 2022 second round pick, I figured I'd put the teams against eachother fully intact after the trade.
Here are the highlights using the tweaks I mentioned above. Tight game, but a really fun one.
