Shopmaster brought it up in an interview with Connor, and he couldn't talk about it. I have a feeling they are in the game this year.

It's cool to see one of the outdoor courts is from our country. Having that court could get EA some fans/gamers back and it could help their sales.
Hoping that this game delivers. A lot of people here in our country are getting sick of 2K because of the VC purchases and nothing much has changed with the gameplay. 2K does not even try much since there is no competition.

That dude say, that nba live 19 is on PC. If only it was so

But he said it with so much certainty. Like he's seeing the CPU, the mouse and the keyboard there or maybe there's a separate area for PC/XBOX/PS4 and he's in the PC area. I don't know! I really hope it's true though. I guess it's just us not believing the unbelievable lol

if the game on the PC does not necessarily have to be a keyboard and mouse - this is old stereotype. For example, I play all games with a gamepad (except first-person shooters)...

I just hope it's the case like with 2K9 on PC, it got revealed a bit later and released ten days later. Keep them hopes high, I don't want to buy NBA 2K anymore. :(

Honestly, basketball video games have been intended to be played with a dual analog gamepad since 2002. Different strokes for different folks and all that, but if you're playing a basketball game released after 2002 with a keyboard in 2018, you're not getting the full experience. Some games favour keyboard and mouse, others favour gamepad.

Doesn't seem to be a coincidence. I remember shortly after Chris Paul was revealed as the NBA 2K8 cover player, a bunch of NBA Live 08 screens featuring him were released.

I feel that the women playing in the streets and a potential for created females and The One could be a big selling point. EA just announced women in Battlefield V (with a lot of backlash from sexists and trolls alike) but from a PR standpoint that is great and could actually help sell the game to people who probably would not have bought it

The backlash from women being in BFV isn’t because people are sexist or trolls (although some trolls have started jumping on the cirlce jerk and have become toxic, it’s in the small minority). People want an historically accurate game, that doesnt depict an Asian, British disabled woman fighting on the frontline of a battle in WW2. How is that sexist?

I agree that bringing women into the game more is a good selling point for Live but don’t compare it to the controversy of BFV. It’s a completely different situation.

If people got that upset about historical changes in media all the time hollywood would be out of business.

Hope we see more than just a play now mode for the WNBA.

I'd like to see WNBA franchise mode, and multi user franchise in both modes.

This was going to be my point. Took the words right out of my mouth.
Most games these days are basically playable movies where the game part is simply filler to get you to the next cut scene

Even then, most movies "based on a true story" or "based on true events" usually aren't 100% accurate. Hollywood always takes creative liberties and even in "autobiographical movies" there are always scenes that just simply didn't happen in real life. Or like the X-Men movies where they don't follow the comics or change things around. I mean, you had a female version of Ghostbusters and tons of recycled and Oceans 8 and also rebooted superhero franchises but you just can't keep copying what was done and of course people like to put their own spin on it.

I'm a fan of modern, ultra realistic shooters so I can be a stickler for some things like how when you shoot one bullet and reload you only lose one bullet in your inventory even though you just dropped a clip full of them. I personally haven't bought a call of duty or battlefield game since they started with this futuristic crap, going into space, running on walls, Halo style double jumping, etc. I know I don't like those kinds of games so I just simply don't buy em. Im not going out of my way to tell developers how they're not doing their job correctly

Okay, but this is WW2 we're talking about. Hearing women shouting across the Battlefield during the 1940s is a big change. It's nothing like the things you're giving examples of. I think the original problem with it is they came out and said it was a WW2 game, which is where the backlash came from. But now they're calling it "their portrayal of WW2". Since that's the case the whole controversy doesn't really matter anymore, and I don't care since that's the case now.

I'm sorry I've turned this into something offtopic, I just didn't really agree with what you're saying.

Cute. Screenshots quickly expose that for the snarky hyperbole that it is, though. Even NBA Live 14 was an upgrade on the PS3/360 era in terms of faces and environments.

To me I like NBA Live's graphics. I prefer their skin texture and jerseys more than 2K. But I always notice this, Live's Lebron is good but there is something I can't pinpoint that looks off with his face. I still prefer 2K's face for Lebron. Both 2K and EA have a hit and miss with regards to Player faces.
But EA usually does good Legend face models.

EDIT: Before I forget I am still confused why 2K can't make long hair models move, EA has been doing it since PS3/X360 days. 2K only did it with Steve Nash in 2K7. This is one of the positives I always look forward with EA Player models.

It is strange that both companies have different track records with different players, especially when most of them do actually sit for face scans these days.

2K does have some hair movement:

I give the edge to Live 18 Lebron. The first video game to get his facial hair right.

Recently when compared to 2K, Live makes them look cartoonish. Everything down to the players/courts/jerseys/shoes. It just seems like 2K take major cuts in areas to focus on other stuff. I mean some of the textures 2K use are so innacurate and outdated it’s laughable, especially the courts. When compared to Live’s courts it’s literally a night and day comparison. Wouldn’t be surprised if most of the developement time is put into online features and shit that will make them money. I’d defintely buy Live if your big into accuracy because that’s something Live has over 2K the past couple of years.

Also, I believe hair movement was in the 2K15 but they removed it in 2K16 and the future games. Just another example of 2K removing features, and to be added later.
