Fact.

Retro is still in high demand, and the retro players in game still have a ton of recycled last gen textures. The ability to fix this by having the PC version and doing it through modding is actually a big deal.

Not just fixing classic retro players, but also filling some of the classic teams with players (replacing the generics). 2K didn't get the licensing for a slew of classic players, that's where modding comes in.

To say that nobody cares, or very few people care about classic seasons is kind of ridiculous if you think about it. 2K realized the demand, and literally JUST added a bunch of new classic teams for this year's game. And just as recently as 2K16, added a bunch more.

One of the things that separates 2K from Live is the ability to have classic teams in play now, or for use in MyLeague. Also, having Jordan's rights is a huge deal. We also have the ability to get Reggie Miller and Barkley in the game, which people on consoles have been clamouring for, for many many years.

Current player updates, coach updates, retro updates, all important. Just because you personally do not care about it, doesn't mean that there isn't a demand for that content. There is.
