Not sure i was planning on doing that today can u tell me what the Audio ID where the last yrs dream team 92 , team usa and Australia from 2k17. So I have an idea of what areas I should be looking at. 2K14 had few national team audio Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China , France , Germany , Great Britain, Greece , Italy , Russia , Spain , Turkey and USA . I will test those old IDs today and let you know.

I think it would any ID u use that does not have a real audio id to go to it for example "999".

I spent last night messing around with audio files, I spoke too soon regarding the " Audio ID 255" for "Vancouver" I found it only works because I relocated the grizz in my league to Vancouver that is how i found the "255" id. But that is not the case some might know this but if not seems that the audio id only goes up to "255" in the cheat engine.So regardless what the actual "audio id" is if it is higher then 255 it will always show 255. It worked for you because it keeped the "56" id code from your last edit. I know its confusing.

I tried to use the audio ids from the hidden teams such as team usa and team world with other teams in game and would read them. But if i swap the GID of teams it does work. So I think the Audio 1 is the city id and that can be swaped out with no issue , But Audio 2 is the team name and seems to stick to the GID that it goes with.

I also found the Audio 31 set that used to belong to the charlotte bobcats does work but only the city part. I tried it with the actual current day hornets and only accepted the Charlotte part but will not say bobcats. I think they removed the audio for bobcats out of the game, stupid. So the 4 Euro league team that are hidden are there and work with those team audio ids match the GID.

i think there many more audio ids there but cant access them for example of the my league relocation citys. Also i feel that many of last yrs Dream Team , Team usa and Australia , all euro teams and college teams from 2k17. If some one with 2k17 would be willing to share with me those audio ids and team gids , i will test to see if they are in 2k18. I dont have 2k17.

I haven't seen much about converting CF's from NBA 2K17 when I've been on here, although I do remember earlier on that someone was able to at least get the player to show up in the Edit Player Screen in 2K18, albeit with a lot of glitching.

I am wondering because I know how to convert them and get them to show up with all their features. I just wasn't sure if this would be old news to you guys and you figured it out a while ago or if anyone would be interested to hear. I have successfully converted Reggie Miller's CF from 2K17 and I found that the old face texture files / UV Maps for players from 2K17 can be used so that we don't have to work on new textures that are used in 2K18.

That was me who got the faces to show up partially. Can you please tell me how you converted the cyber face. I have been trying to figure this out since the game released.

I was just able to put a 2K17 cyberface in 2K18! I will wait for your instructions because I still was not able to get the jersey to show up correctly.

I went ahead and recorded a short walkthrough (it is silent because I don't have a mic, but I explain each step with text). These videos cover the 2 files that need to be edited to properly get the desired CF to show up in the Edit Player Screen in NBA 2K18 - the appearance_info.RDAT and hihead.SCNE file inside the png.iff archive. Hopefully this video helps. If it goes too quick, just pause it as needed.

As for what you place in your modded folder, you do not have to make any changes to the face.iff archive from NBA2K17. And for the png.iff, you will end up with 4 files in there:
1) The appearance_info.RDAT file that you made changes to
2) The hihead.SCNE file that you made changes to
3) ^The original .model file, only with the part of the file name that says "player" is changed to "hihead"
4) The original .mathnodes file
*Beyond these 4 files, the rest you can add in like you would in any 2K18 file (3D facial hair, hair, etc.). In my case that is shown, I did not need to add any of those since Reggie Miller does not have any 3D hair or facial hair.

I went ahead and recorded a short walkthrough and sped it up a little bit to make it shorter. These videos cover the 2 files that need to be edited to properly get the desired CF to show up in the Edit Player Screen in NBA 2K18.

It ended up being way simpler than I thought it would be. I had been going through the hihead file and trying to match the names and order of vertex groups, shaders, and texture coordinates to match the way 2K18 files are read. And trying to blend in parts of 2K17 face textures to work in the 2K18 format.

The overarching thing is that on a 2K18 appearance_info.RDAT file, using the information from the 2K17 one that carries over. Then you make some tweaks to the hihead.SCNE file from 2K17 by filling in the info for the player.model (2K17) as if it is a hihead.model (2K18).

Then I found that adding a few lines that pertain to the new way they do LOD's and adding a group of "morph" values that is new to 2K18 worked. If you do not try to adapt the way the vertex groups are read to how it's organized in 2K18, with those few tweaks made the game will read the format as it is. This goes for face textures as well. As long as you do not mess with the texture coordinates, you can use face textures, etc. from 2K17 that have the different UV Map. I literally just grabbed the face.iff archive from the 2K17 default Reggie Miller, typed in numbers for an empty slot in 2K18 and put it in my modded folder. You may have to make a couple tweaks in blender if there is clipping with accessories, but that's it.

What I am working on now is that in-game there is some jersey glitching even though everything looks perfect in the Edit Player Screen. This also causes their portrait to look weird.

Cool, glad it worked. For in-game you will likely have to tinker with accessories with the ....THICK .....THIN files in the appearance info. It will show up in the portrait as well.

I noticed the eyes are all lazy eyes for the converted faces. Are the facial animations working for you?
I think the jersey and accessory clipping can be solved by shrinkwrapping the model to a 2K18 model in blender.

Hmm yeah the eye animations do seem off. It wasn’t as noticable with Reggie but with Radmanovic and Rasheed Wallace the eyes clearly are not moving side to side like they should be in the edit player screen. One thing is that they renamed some of the vertex groups for the eye models this year. For example it was L_eyeShape last year and this year it is R_eyeShape. And I believe it went from L_eye_shadowShape to L_eye_capShape or something along those lines. I’m not sure if that would make a difference or not.

I opened the 2k17 file and changed everything listed and changed the player.model to hihead.model. I placed it in the modded folder and change the name file to match the player to create. But blank player...

Did you make sure that the CF # you used is an open slot? Trying to put it in the same ID # as 2K17 may do that.

OK now I feel stupid. I can't get it as it seems pretty simple. I use an open slot, 7239 for example.
I move onto something else as it makes me crazy...
