The Engine right now seems pretty terrible for Modding compared to 2K14 and prior.

Likely since that's probably around when the new consoles will come out

So definitely not true, then.

So much progress was made in 2K17, I would like to revisit some ideas from the 2K14 days of modding. Animation mods, exploring audio files such as the name database, and more. While we may not be able to get as far as we would like to push, we must remember that it only takes 1 person to really play around with files and research to make a break through.

Im new to the PC world (1 year so far) but I wouldn't mind learning how to mod or find out different aspects about the game if someone could point me in the right direction.

I personally want to create a cyberface ID list, a portrait ID list, a signature ID list, and a list of players HoF players and culturally relevant players that are completely missing from the game.
Andrew wrote:A question about the sections I'll be adding to the Downloads database in the not too distant future: should we bring back the Rosters section?
I'm guessing the situation with encrypted saves isn't going to change, which means we can't upload saves the way we used to. However, when adding files, we could still link to the release thread which contains information about the roster to search for and download, as well as download links for any related assets that are needed. That way, we've still got listings for roster mods in the Downloads section, they just won't be directly downloadable like they were before the PC version was exclusive to Steam.
