In offense, there's no spacing.
But Walton is to blame too, systems are also so poor.
And on other side of the court, it's not a team defense, often there's no help. Guys dont want to help each other.
Btw on this point, same can be say for the C''s.
@ Sticky-fingers
Yeah the Lakers aren't the ideal Team.
Remember in the off season the Lakers were trying to recruit players?...but only certain types of players can be successful with LeBron.
This is the same reason why Lebron needs to re-invent his game or he will not get anybody MAJOR to come play with him unless Anthony Davis still wants to in 2020.
Last night LeBron let Ingram push the offense in the 1st half and the ball didn't stick too much so they stayed in the game despite all the open missed shots they gave Rondo and others.
It could have been a blowout if they hit those early open shots and would have had the Bucks chasing them for the rest of the Game.
The Lakers would be CRAZY to trade Ingram, Ball and/or Kuzma...they need DEVELOPMENT
We all know if they go to the right Team they will be STARS in the right System.
So I agree with you Sticky-fingers on the fact Coaching has to take some of the responsibility for this disaster.
Lakers should trade LeBron and go after 2 Top Tier players like Kawhi and Cousins or Vucevic for example.
Fire Luke Walton and get a Coach that knows how to work with what they got.
Anthony Davis is too injury prone and I think that it's a terrible move to count on him / trade 4 to 5 players for 1 guy.
If Lebron & Davis get injured which is very likely...The Lakers become a Lottery Team in a second.
Not every Player wants to... or can even play "catch and shoot"
LeBron is too slow to play Point Guard and doesn't have the moves or ball handling skills to compliment his younger Laker Teammates.
It might have worked on the Cavs or with a different Team now but he slows down the Lakers when he runs the offense.
LeBron looks like a Conductor of an Orchestra at the top of the key while other great Point Guards pass, cut even create screens...Lebron tried it a few times last night but he is terrible at doing it.
The Lakers need to run/ cut/ space and move the ball to get mismatches.
They are missing Lonzo Ball big time!!
I also agree with the Teams (Celtics & Lakers) not looking out for each other on defense etc...
Egos in Boston...They could be like Golden State but way too selfish but at least they are working on it and I think they will do some damage in the playoffs.
Resentment in Los Angeles for the Anthony Davis Trade Deadline situation and LeBron confusing shit because he can't decide what position he wants to play on the court.
He wants to play point guard but not play in your face defense against anybody consistently so the other players have to cover for him and that means somebody has to be OPEN.
Both teams should have been better at this point.
