JEDL's FDC 2K18 with Custom Cyberfaces (CF ID changes and Compatible DC)

So the purpose of this project is to create a realistic draft class which should blend with any roster. This project was made in response to some of the clickbait, low effort and retarded monstrosities found 2K Share.

Here are the fundamental issues a lot of them present:


Overpowered prospects.
They are both problematic in some draft classes and in the 2K generated ones. Its either they didn't bother correcting the CPU's auto generated rookies or they simply just wanted to "put themselves" into the game.


Unedited signature moves which do not match up with attributes or playstyles.
You'll see big men dish out fancy dribble moves like Kemba Walker despite having low ball control. Not necessarily game-breaking but this breaks the sense of reality in this game.


The "LOL RANDOM" accessories.
No explanation needed for this one.


Tendencies.
Just look at those numbers. They may not mean much to you or to the normal casual gamer like most users but this is just lazy.

So there you go, now that I've enlightened you I hope that you will stay away from those draft classes. I really wish 2K will implement a rating or a better filter system for 2K Share in the future.

On these draft classes:

• Fully edited players in the draft classes.
• Used unused cyberfaces and cyberfaces from obscure players and re-skinned them or changed them completely
• Tendencies, badges, signatures and attributes should match their playstyle.
• I've made some potential busts and possible gems. Watch out for "false" top prospects.
• Few players recreated from last year's draft classes
• Expect most of the players being capable of making the outside shot as per league direction. Also expect some players with odd/unique playstyles.
• Will use Barnsey's and Aderito's guides from OperationSports.

• Currently working on badges.
• Only added 18 cyberfaces since the default CAP models don't look too bad and the fact that some cyberfaces from last year have been erased. I've based some players on people I know and they look a lot better with CAP.
• Hopefully I can finish signatures and hot zones tomorrow

Update:

• Added 2 new cyberfaces. There are now a total of 20 players with cyberfaces.
• Finished with badges and signatures.
• Edited some accessories.
• Uploaded update to 2K Share.
• Will work on tendencies and hotzones next.

Signature edit features:

• Big men will have "Basic" or "Normal" dribble packages while guards and wings will not have the "Basic" packages.
• I've tried my best to match the Shot Releases and the Free Throw animations.

I don't have a whole lot to add at the moment, but wanted to pop in and thank you for making these again this year. They add to my enjoyment of the game immensely.

Dang yea I looked yesterday at the manifest once I figured out his ID from 2k17. What a shame

I don't have a whole lot to add at the moment, but wanted to pop in and thank you for making these again this year. They add to my enjoyment of the game immensely.

Well, I edited and altered the ones without a cyberface individually to make them believable and not look like a bunch of weirdos. I can't edit actual cyberfaces myself (I wish I could though).

Major Update:

• Finished with ALL tendencies. That's right, I've edited every single tendency for all 45 players so take that for data!
• Also adjusted Peak Start and Peak End for everyone
• Edited some accessories.
• Uploaded update to 2K Share.
• Will work on hotzones periodically.
• Will start working on Year 2 soon.
• Might edit more players until 60 if I'm motivated enough.

Quick Update:

• Finished Hot Zones for everyone
• Reduced Potential ratings (They were too high on average, had to deduct them)
• Starting Year 2

Major Update:

• For Year 1 I re-edited Shot Close, Contested Mid & 3PT Shots, Acceleration, Speed, Crash tendency, and the Drive tendencies set while making sure the ratings and player identity stay intact.
• Added 2 cyberfaces for Year 1.
• Finished and uploaded Year 2 to 2K Share. The only thing left for Year 2 are the Hot Zone edits.
• Will work on the scouting report next.
• This draft class will now have more players with unique playstyles compared to Year 1.
• However I also made this draft class to have slightly more injury prone players so draft wisely.

This looks good! Looking forward to using these guys in my own MyLeague. One question, do you use some kind of roster editor to edit your draft class? You seem to make quick work of them.

Thanks man! And nah dude I just used the quick edit feature a lot, just pure hustle. It was pretty grueling, frustrating and draining since it took a lot of my spare time and the fact that the quick edit doesn't include Reaction Time and Contact Dunk and the Left Foot Durability is bugged for me hehe.

I wish I could but I don't know how. Although I would prefer if it was downloaded on 2K Share so my draft class can get that exposure.

I think you can find the draft class in the "remote" folder and it should be named like "DraftClass"

Custom CF progress:

I've gotten the hang of adding, removing and switching hairstyles and beards. Will try to experiment with changing textures and editing 3D models.

Can't find it. I found the one for 2K17 but even that didn't have any draft classes or rosters.

Major Update:

• Reduced ages for both Year 1 and 2.
• Edited and updated accessory colors for Year 1 to match default roster (will edit Year 2 soon).
• Edited eye colors.
• Currently working on Year 3 slowly.

I also managed to finally make a custom cyberface and I'm quite happy with the result. I replaced the hair and textures from png5272.iff with Ricky Rubio's hair and textures.

The draft classes look great. I just have one comment on some of them. Some of the players' peak end are set to late (e.g. 34, 35). I read over at OS that typically players regress after the ages 28-30 on average. Of course, we have outliers like LeBron, CP, Korver. But I think that is the average. Also, you can fool CPU teams into drafting busts by adjusting their peak starts at around 20-21 yrs old and setting up their potential to 90+. CPUs draft according to a player's potential but they don't know when a player will peak. So, they would be able to draft busts that have 90 potential, rated 75 but their rating will peak at around 78.

Thanks for the input man I really appreciate it! I'll definitely readjust the peak end with a few outliers (like the players you mentioned) once I finish with my university exams here
