I know I'm late to the party but here's the best advice I can give:
ALWAYS, ALWAYS exploit the VC methods that exist in the first 1-4 days of the game being out.
This year there were some spicy methods involving MyLeague-simulations (Getting you like 20K VC per hour).
I'm currently sitting at 88OVR and 360K VC and the only problem is unlocking new attribute slots.

Again, I know I'm late (and unsure if exploits and glitches are being apprechiated here) but you know, 2K19 will be released at some point!

Man, I was late getting into 2K18. By the time I got in, that Myleague exploit was patched. This year, they've closed down almost every single simple pathway to VC.

I'm wondering if answering those trivia questions is the easiest and fastest way to get VC in this game. 25 VC for about 20 seconds per question. I'm getting them right at 33% approximately so about 25 VC per minute. Ugh, that's about 500 VC in 20 min, which is roughly the same amount as playing each of the games - painful with a 70 rated guy.

I think the other easy way is to do that dumb 2K18 app card game. I just watch tv while I randomly tap away, not caring if I win or not. 50VC each 1 min game and 500VC capped per 24 hrs.

600. You get 100 for your daily login if you tie it to your Steam/XBL/PSN account.

It's ridiculous that it's 50 VC for the card games in the app, win or lose. As noted, there's no incentive to actually try when it's just a set completion bonus. Perhaps there are some gamers who pride themselves on having a great record in that game, though I'd suggest far more people care about playing NBA 2K itself, and are only using it to earn VC.

Yeah, I wonder what their motivation is for that app. It's pretty pointless, even for them. It's free, they don't make any money off of it. What do they hope to gain from your daily sign-ins and wasting time on that stupid card game? Maybe it's those ads they hope you'll watch to get more player cards to play that game?

I thought there were microtransactions in the app?

I think there are. But it's such a boring card game that I can't believe anyone would spend bucks or effort to get these "good" cards to beat other people. Besides, you're playing against CPU AND you get 50VC regardless of whether you win or lose AND the computer stiffens up the competition when you do get good cards. That last one is so dumb - I found myself not upgrading my lineup because as soon as I did, I got tossed into a tougher pool of opponents where I'd lose more.

Basically, the app is just to grind VC. You'd have to be pretty mindless to enjoy it.

If there was more to it as a second screen experience and it earned more VC, I'd probably take a bit of time out of my day to mess around with it. Much like last year though, it just slips my mind, especially as the VC rewards continue to decline.
