NBA 2k18 Console Equivalent Graphics Settings

Postby tinnyskillz on Mon Sep 25, 2017 8:19 pm

I wanted to know the console's (preferably ps4's) graphical settings. Does anyone have any idea?
I read in a thread for 2K16 or 2K17, that the settings are on medium, and special effects like motion blur, ambient occlusion etc weren't mention.
I read on another site for 2k16, everything is pretty much maxed out, with a couple effects off.
2k18 i assume would be the same settings it's been for years

From what i can tell from youtube videos:

Of course 1080p 60fps on ps4 (would like to know if it has dips in fps, like in cutscenes, and rare occasions in game like my pc does lol)
vsync on, maybe adaptive, idk
Anti Alisaing- N/A, 4?
shader detail level- high or ultra
shadow detail level - high or ultra
texture detail level- high
player detail level- high
crowd detail level- high, because medium has less people in the crowd
media people detail level- N/A
Hair detail level- High
Ambient Occlusion- N/A
Volumetric Lighting- On, there are cameras flashing
Temporal AA: On
Depth of Field- On
Motion Blur- N/A
Bloom- N/A
Floor reflections- N/A
Mirror Reflections- N/A
Max Anisotropy- N/A, most console games don't use 16

:D thanks

That's a question I've been asking myself for years. The AA is probably 4 and Max Anisotropy is 8. That's because the only difference between those set to 8 and respectively 16 is when I look at the stanchions. I've noticed in some 4K PS4 Pro recordings that the stanchions look as if they were using the settings I've mentioned.

Other than that, I remember that 2K15 only had high settings but some community MASTER RACE PC #WERULE members complained about the quality of their rigs and how they can get so much more from this game. So that's when they've introduced some ultra settings for the better rigs. I assume those are off for the consoles.

I believe the rest of the settings are set to high, all of them, with a combination of the other flashy settings being on/off. But that's difficult to determine yourself.
