The game has looked good since 15. It's really up to how it feels to play and the depth and balance of content to keep you engaged and wanting to play more.

Four things I am looking for.
1: More physical play inside. It has been way too easy to score on the inside and not physical at all.
2: In career play, injuries in played out games. It was unfair for my team to have everyone healthy for all 82 games while opponents were missing players.
3: Being able to throw more than one kind of pass.
4: More fouls.

More physical play inside is a must. But not just control hindering animations but the slight contact that happens as well.

Physicality and defensive presence is a must. Even though dunks and layups are high percentage shots, when the paint is packed, they're difficult looks. The defense needs to be able to bother shooters in the lane without necessarily blocking shots. That way, blocking numbers, field goal percentages, and points in the paint are all realistic, as would be the nature of the gameplay from play-to-play.

Exactly. They need to have the gameplay to back up the numbers and not just artificially lower layup percentages.

Just read that Nas is going to be there. This is going to be awesome.

Really? That is pretty cool

NBA Live 18 executive produced by Nas?

Fung Bros at the launch event. No gameplay obviously, but it shows more from the event

I saw on another video they had a face scanning setup just like the one they do for the nba players right next to selection labelled "The One" so yeah I think it's for the rising star mode but my question is if they did face scanning at the event did they have the face ready soon after? And if so why does it take them 5 months to do an nba players scan?

So, no official video from EA yet? I saw a FIFA trailer just now and it was obvious that it was using the frostbite engine as they threw the logo up immediately after the ea logo

Perhaps it's coming. If not, it won't be long before we get more glimpses of the game.

This week we're guaranteed to get something with EA play coming up on the weekend.
I think EA released that FIFA trailer because they are going to sell copies no matter what, so they weren't worried about waiting till the weekend to get the most eyes on a trailer.

My excitement will grow when I hear more about the Dynasty mode changes/Roster editing capabalities.
Hopefully we have more details shortly.

Its sad that they didn't stick with this animation direction, and just improve on it. Some of the animations look pretty awesome, and less herky jerky. I would have been playing Live a lot more if the animations continued in this direction.
In the video reveal for Live 18, I'm seeing the herky jerky animation blunders again. I am holding out hope, but I have a bad feeling that Live will still have them in the final release. I don't think it's acceptable to say "You should be used to it, it's what EA does". Just because we are used to something, doesn't mean it's right, or that it doesn't need changing.
Watching this review today made me a little sad, because of what could have been.
Crossing my fingers Live 18 shows improvement....

I actually played Live 10 a few weeks ago when Sit was visiting and man I forgot how much fun you could have playing a basketball game. Yes, the controls are pretty responsive without those long canimations and the game rewards you for taking open mid range jumpers

One step forward and two steps back as always.
FML.
Legacy animations (i.e. the bad ones) still all through that video.
You take that much time off and it still animates like that?
