For those who would be interested in a V4 with even more teams

If any of you can find out how to make the college teams MyLeague compatible, or find another way to add more teams outside of what I have already done (unlock others spots somehow), a V4 will almost be guaranteed.

I have tried everything I could think of to make the college teams myleague compatible and not crash. If those teams could be made compatible, it would open up 8 to 10 NEW SPOTS for even more classic teams.

Let me know if you figure anything out. I really don't want to overwrite any of the default classic teams that are currently in the roster.

Dee and I were hoping to bring everyone some footage of a head-to-head game using Parsec, but we're still figuring out the settings so that the guest (in this case, me) doesn't experience so much input lag on jumpshots. If we can get it working, it's a very easy way to play head-to-head with a friend using UCTR!

incidentally, the 2003 Wizards are a real challenge once MJ, Stackhouse, and Hughes are on the bench. Oof.

I also have Parsec installed on my PC. If you like to play some 2k17 mod match ups, I like to! I don't have NBA 2k17 for the PC unfortunately. Only on the PS4 and I definetely don't have these mods on there. Have you used the latest 2021 roster mod there too?

It's extended almost as far as it can be Madball... I've used up all the euro team slots, and almost every regular team slot.

The only way I would be able to add more than 4 new teams is if somebody figured out how to unlock more team slots, or if we found a way to get the college teams to work in myleague (if so, I could overwrite all of them with new classic teams)

I would love to add more, but I am struggling to find ways.

well, feel free to overwrite them, if you ask me . in my opinion, it is better to have "play now" nba retro teams than ncaa teams.

so my vote goes to overwriting all remaining default 2k teams and fill their spots with nba retro teams (1989-2005 era).

Search for a specific text string by name, but make sure that it doesn't have an audio ID for it.

To test this, go into edit player on any player and go to last name. If Harlan doesn't say the name you selected, that's the one you want to replace.

Once you find the name in CE, you will put the name you want over it in CE, and now that name will show up in the name bank in game. If you want it to somewhat be in alphabetical order still, you will need to make sure the name you are replacing atleast starts with the same letter.

For example

If you want to add Iavaroni, replace a name that starts with I but one that Harlan does say.

Hey Dee, I just wanted to say that I've reinstalled 2K17 and I'm loving this mod again. Going back to the older gameplay alongside your details to each roster makes this one of my personal favorite mods to play. NBA 2K17 accessory colors could not be changed by the time this roster project was started, and we tried to edit them with different .exes and sync.bins with no luck, so that was a bummer.

We focused on making the accessories right for each player, and getting as close as possible with the accessory colors we had to choose from (You could change the 85-86 Rockets to white accessories). We made sure the jerseys, courts, and players were accurate as possible, and that the gameplay was fun and authentic as a result.

I also made a bunch of custom arenas for teams that needed them (Changed the foot mat logo, the color of the crowd seats, the logo under the jumbotron) etc.

If you have any highlights from the mod, or gameplay footage in general, don't hesitate to share it. I love seeing other people play the mod.

I agree, 2K17 probably has some of the better gameplay during the PS4/XBO era of games. You don't have that feeling of running in mud, and players can actually hit contested jumpshots and layups at a realistic rate. Currently, I'm using one of the December .exes (I think the 21st or something like that?), and the game feels so much better to play than something like 20. Is there a specific set of sliders that you recommend?
