D43 - Ultimate Classic Team Roster - VERSION 3 RELEASED!

Guys, the chances of a big V3 with even more teams is small. This project has taken a lot of time, and I mean a lot.

Also for me, your must have teams are not even close to must haves IMO. The 08-09 Magic would be the most important of that bunch, but the 14-15 Clippers and 04-05 Wizards I certainly don't consider must haves. BUT, the 14-15 Clippers would be pretty easy to put in.

I would never consider the 15-16 Spurs over the champion 13-14 Spurs where Kawhi won finals MVP. 07-08 Jazz I considered and COULD be an option for V3. 05-06 Pistons doesn't make sense IMO because we have champion 03-04 in the roster completely filled accurately, and yes I considered the 09-10 or 10-11 Celtics.

Thanks for the suggestions, however try and enjoy the teams that I release in V2.

As it is, I may need a few more days for this release, as last night was not as productive as I had hoped, and still need to remove the stats from some of the players in the roster.

Of course! I'm just hyped and in the meantime I searched for some more great retro teams and noted them here just to not forget about any. So it's more my personal list of teams I will study about as the NBA fan. Don't take it as any kind of expectations list.
As for me version 2 of the mod is perfect enough and simply it will make the best NBA game ever!
I used to edit teams and players in FIFA game and I realize how much time consuming it is, especially if you have to do everything like models, textures, stats etc. The only thing I can say is to thank you for sharing with us all the enormous amount of work you've done in your free time! Take your time, we will wait as long as it takes.

While waiting for three people to test my roster out, I played a game against my brother. I'm using the 05-06 76ers here against the 06-07 Warriors.

This was so fun, went to double OT (The reason for the high score). A lot of cool plays in this one. A couple people have come back to me and said they were loving the gameplay, which I believe is a combination of all the roster tweaks and accurate player creations whether it be the signature shots, tendencies, attributes etc, but also because of the October 12th.exe, which improve the defense and also seems to have more animations that get triggered(My brother and I noticed it and so did one of the testers).

But anyway, enjoy the game highlights below.

And in the meantime as we we wait for the release, could anyone recommend any graphics modification, reshade or global that would make the game look less cartoon and more similar to 2k14 'next-gen'?

I just made the release video for 2K17, but I need to touch a couple more things up. Will probably release this weekend.

The video itself is an hour long, and it doesnt even cover all the changes and edits, the roster is that massive. The video doesnt go over how to install the roster, but I'll show you how to do that with screenshots on here.

I hope you appreciate this roster. I sent it to TGsoGood, Sticky-Fingers, and Trevor to test, and they all gave me great feedback.

I am excited to share with you the Ultimate Classic Teams Roster V2. The first version of this roster received over 40k views on youtube, and received really good feedback. V2 is far more complete, and now including 40 new classic teams. This roster does not include any euro or current teams, and all the default classic teams are filled. A purely classic teams roster, for people who love retro NBA. I am providing you with the October.exe, which gives you the best gameplay experience (As it's before all the 2017 patches), and it will give you the accurate accessory colors for the teams. Gameplay is so important, so you will see a ton of signature shot changes, and accurate signature shots for even the 13th man on teams. I can't even begin to tell you how much footage was watched to get these things right. NBA 2K18 and 2K19 was were disappointments for me, in a big way. So, I've used that time over the last two years to work even more on this roster, and to perfect it. I want to thank all the people in the credits, no matter how small the contribution, every little bit counts. During the time working on this roster, I have learned A LOT more about modding, and plan on bringing that knowledge and know-how to NBA 2K20 if the gameplay is up to par, and bringing this type of roster to that game. Thank you all for the support! I am not expecting this to get a lot of youtube views, as the game is no longer current, and I don't monetize my channel or take donations anyway, but I hope those of you who enjoyed 2K17 and have stuck around with me enjoy it, and it brings you a ton of fun and memories.

MOD PACK AND ROSTER - 5.74 GB

Place the contents of this download in your main NBA 2K17 directory - Keep this as a separate modded folder! do not combine it with your current one - I included the plug in with the "Keep Portraits" Setting on. You must use the .exe in order to keep accessories, and get the BEST gameplay.

NOTE: The ONLY part of the mod pack that you do not place in you main NBA 2K17 directory is the folder titled "Roster File". In that folder, you will find the actual roster file, and a text file telling you how to install it. The 2K17 servers are down, so that is the only way that you are going to be able to do it.

*IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU PUT ALL CONTENTS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE ROSTER FILE FOLDER IN YOUR MAIN NBA 2K17 DIRECTORY, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. BACKUP YOUR OTHER PLUGIN, .EXE AND MODDED FOLDER. IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTION, THE ROSTER MAY NOT WORK/LOOK RIGHT*

Reminder: Steam needs to be OFFLINE when you boot up this game and roster in order for the accessory colors to stay. If you boot up the game while steam is online, it will update the .exe, making it so a few of the teams have accessory colors that are not 100% accurate. They will still look good, however.

The roster file isn't showing up when I load the game.....I keep getting a corruption message. I believe we may need your local folder files with it

Do this.

1.Go online on Steam, launch the game and create a roster.

2. Exit the game and put Steam offline.

3. Go into the folder path I told you to in the instructions, and place the roster file I put in the mod pack in that folder, renaming it to the roster that you just created in game. (Example: if roster004 is the most recent roster you creates, rename the roster in my mod pack to roster004, and place that in the folder I told you to replacing the other roster004)

4. Open the game and open that roster. It should work (remember, you should be offline on steam at this point).

It worked for my brother with Steam OFFLINE the whole time. But Sticky Fingers had your problem.

I've followed the instructions step by step. No matter what, i get the file is corrupt error. I've tried the whole process in entirely in offline mode, doesn't work. I've tried creating the roster and then going in offline mode once i dragged the roster to the folder and changing the file name, still doesn't work and vice versa.

I had the same problem with offline rosters, so here how i fixed it :
- turn steam online
- launch the game
- create new x rostersx/draft classes
- exit game
- turn steam offline
- replace these new rosters/drafts by your saves or shared saves
- launch the game : loading rosters/drafts should work
