D43 - Ultimate Classic Team Roster - VERSION 3 RELEASED!

I'm going to say this with kindness as opposed to frustration...

My fantasy draft roster took over 100 hours to complete, and it is by far the most complete roster on 2k share. To see rosters that took 2 seconds to put together that gets double the downloads (mine has 810, a roster with the 00-01 Kobe placed on the Lakers and no other changes has almost 2000 downloads) kinda bummed me out for a minute.

Or to see a roster that has one added team (09-10 Lakers) with portraits of the players with other teams (Odom with clippers, vujacic with Knicks etc) no team name change, nothing else really done with the roster, having over 3000 downloads...

But, when I got to thinking about it. It's about the quality of the project, and creating something like no other as a team. This roster may not get AS many downloads because it will require a sizeable mod pack, and to see the mod pack people will need to visit NLSC, but those people will get the ultimate experience.

I hope all of you are excited for this project as well as the Draft roster. Some great modders are working with me on this, and it will be the best roster in the next gen era.

Sorry for the long post, just needed to express my appreciation for those WHO ARE tuning into these projects and who are working on them. My draft roster is the first roster that requires a mod pack (correct me if I'm wrong). So I should be happy with the results.

I literally just looked at this in the game and was thinking the same thing. Another thing, I know for a fact that some of the other roster are promoted on chinese forums. I've seen it first hand.

Yeah, I wasn't just gonna call it Draft Roster or something. Part of me likes the way it is, it was just a bummed out moment that lasted a few seconds.

It's a lot of work, and a lot of work for those working with me on it.

Haha, sorry. I didn't because you were still working on Camby and I didn't want to overwhelm you. I was going to send once I had Camby.

CALLING ALL CF MODDERS

Hi all,

I need some help. So I added up the players to make this mod accurate, and we are looking at 50-60 (If we don't include the 82-83 Spurs and 66-67 Warriors, around 80 if we include those two. These cyberfaces would be used to fill the default classic teams in the game, and add the new teams. I have PeacemanNOT working on CF's for me, but that is far too many for one man to handle. TBM will be doing quick edits and shrink wrapping, which is a lot. Is there anybody willing to assists with some of the faces? I can provide the textures from the URB (I gained permission from Skoadam), and I can also give you the lookalike to make it easer.

Any help would be appreciated. I don't want this project to die.

I wish I could help but I will not do any faces until I figure out how to add CFs to the game with overwriting a CF. I don't want to replace any players I just want to be able to use totally new CF IDs. I think this will help your project also because people will not have to "turn" modded CFs "on and off". I think I am close. If my current thinking is correct we would also be able to add unlimited number of uniforms, stadiums, and crowd art without replacing current files just like the old days.

It doesn't matter. Any one that you do that I sent you has a purpose. All those teams WILL be in this. So it doesn't matter. That's why it was awesome to get the 04-05 Spurs from you. They all matter.

Btw, I was watching finals footage of Lakers vs Celtics in 2010. Artest hadn't changed his name yet. On the 09-10 Lakers in this roster his name with be Ron Artest.

Working on it. I have the first two weeks of November off from work. I'll be doing A TON. Right now I'm working on finishing off these teams, doing some more on the classic teams, and my brother is working on portraits. We will be at it for another 5 hours or so.

He used PeacemanNots Nash in his own roster without asking him permission. Yes, I know that peace didn't put it out there that someone should. But it's the point. I'd never share a roster with MY NAME (HAN Roster) or take ownership, when I didn't give credit or help with the roster, or make the material.

These portraits take HOURS upon HOURS. I expect respect in regards to the work not only I do on this roster, work my brother does, and the others work that goes on this roster.

According to the Chinese 2k forum's policy, if someone is to include a piece of work in their own mod that(the piece of work) is made by someone else or by foreign patch makers in this case, one must put the original maker's name or id as paying a tribute to the original maker. If you go to the Chinese forum and you happen to understand Chinese, you can see that in Han roster's post, the dude did mention that Steve Nash cyberface was made by PeacemanNOT. So technically, he didn't just ignore the original maker and share it as his own work.

Yes, for the record. PeacemanNOT never said anything about it. It was me. I see all the work being put in by everybody this year, so I felt the need to speak up.

I'll make sure to let the modders themselves speak up from now on.

Now that you're here, do you know how to get the VIP section of guayo168's roster editor? Is it possible to get it if you're not living in China due to bad connections?
