Preload?

Talk about NBA 2K17 here.

Green Man Gaming is generally reliable. That's where I got mine last year.

I haven't ever pre-ordered or pre-loaded, so I wonder how that works with GMG. Can I pre-load if I purchased from GMG?

Why is the preload only 100 MB?

Because someone at 2K fucked up. Its only the additional VRedist Stuff Steam always downloads to pretty much any Game (DirectX etc) ._.
At least that shows that we probably get the Preload tomorrow.

Steam shows "pre-load now" for 2K17 in it's storefront.

I'm yet to receive my Steam code from my 2K Store order, so looks like I won't be able to pre-load just yet. A little unimpressed by that.

it's a 100 MB redistr like said above so not a big deal anyway ;-) maybe full version will be available later and then you'll get your Steam code for pre-load.

Absolutely. I just hope that it comes within the next 24 hours. My PS4 copy should arrive tomorrow so worst case scenario, I can at least get my hands on the game while the PC version is downloading. First world problems, indeed. ;)

2K store haven't sent out keys yet? Because I was starting to worry about me not getting a key yet from GMG.

I believe we had to wait until it had unlocked in the US last year.

The ps4 has a timer counting down for me. It showed less than 24 hours a little after 9 pm Pacific time, so cc maybe there is a global unlock at midnight eastern US time.

Just saw on reddit:

I just asked GMG on Facebook and they said keys are going to be shipped in the next few hours.

I'd assume 2K store would be around the same time at latest.

Look like there is no preload this year for pc.
With a slow internet, it will take a while for me to be able to play the game. The early access bonus for preorder will be use waiting to finish downloading the game, not playing.

Well, for what it's worth, I've already preloaded the game on my PS4. It only took about 4 hours to download the whole 50 gigs. I'll be able to play it at midnight tonight.

Finally pre-ordered NBA 2K17 and instantly recieved the key. DLC content (Dream Team, VC,..) is unlockable via locker code in-game if not purchased directly from steam. (they send 1 steam and 1 DLC key)

As stated above preload size is only 109 MB. I wrote to gaming dragons about this issue and this is the reply I got.

Hello.
The preload process has nothing to do with us as its solely provided by Steam servers.
The game should be playable on the 16th.
If you think that this is a technical issue please contact Steam support.
Thanks.

Below is the version I purchased. But watch out, other version is 3 eur cheaper and does not include early tip-off bonus DLC and should be available on 20/9.

You know what this is what I'll do. I didn't pre order since I haven't built my PC yet. I'll trade in my Xbox One copy of 2K16 i never used for a key at GameStop
