Terko,I appreciate the compliment. When I get back this weekend (on holiday currently) I will try to figure out the crashing. sorry that's been happening... Frustrating when that happens.

Hey RAW and Terko, I played last night and this morning and haven't been able to recreate the crashing you are experiencing. Curious--which profile are you using when crashing..i.e. my "goldenstate77" preset for 2K16 or one of the three recycled settings from 2K15? Also, have you installed other mods, etc? It's hard to tell how widespread the problem is--as people rarely comment when everything is working properly, and over 1,000 people have downloaded. I checked each of settings and there were no obvious mistakes... i.e. no errors that I could see. Will keep playing around but so far has been stable for me.

I was using your "goldenstate77" 2K16 preset. But stop looking for errors. I was playing last night with another SweetFX patch and again, the game sometimes crashed when I open the game, loading a MyGM, quit and save a MyGM game (and I got corrupted save file, but I backup constantly). I tried to play without any sweetfx or reshade patch but still got those crashes. I'm using the External File Plugin with cyberfaces, uniforms and some court updates, but I don't know if it is the real problem.
I'll be testing.
Thanks anyway
And I apolgize if my English is not correct, greetings from Argentina.

Sorry folks I promised to release my update, and I'm sorry it's taken so long, however a simple hard drive swap triggered what can only be described as a comedy of errors resulting in a broken motherboard (don't ask). So faced with buying a new MB, I wanted to upgrade and not buy the same platform I've been on for 4 years, and this meant also upgrading the processor, RAM and case (to fit the new MB). Keep in mind I had just upgraded to 2x980t's and a 34" ultrawide a few weeks before this little snafu. Anyway I have all the parts on hand, and will put the system back together this week.

Ok guys/girls, my new build is finally done. No more amazon boxes. Here's a preview--just testing on some more courts. Will def release before I leave on a work trip to London Saturday.

This is a before after of the new reshade settings (my player). Recommend clicking one of the photos to open flickr, then press left/right key to see the difference.

yeah, well I've been wanting to do a new build, just wasn't expecting to do it now per se. Anyway should be set for awhile (better be good for a long while!)... 5960x, asus deluxe x99, 16gb ddr4, H105 cooler, 2x gtx 980ti hybrids (from my prior rig). :cheeky: absolutely shreds.

Thats looking good! i like the subtle tweaks on contrast!
Btw, could we get another preview? some court view maybe?

Oh wow, 5960x? Thats 8-core Haswell-e!!!
That build should last at least for a good 5-10 years!

Thanks RAW. Re contrast I tried to counterbalance the the natural increase caused by adjustments to black point and defog by using negative contrast in the curves setting, which I wasn't even aware is possible before playing around with it. Quite enlightening really as its been the biggest complaint with my and other settings--either reduce fog and get rid of the yellow tint, or have acceptable contrast levels. Now it seems like we can have both.

I will def post more screens--I was running out the door to work but wanted to at least get one up before I left. Feedback welcome as I post more screens.

The 5960x is a monster, and I did well in the silicon lottery (for the first time ever). It's a good overclocker.

Well, I ran out of time and didn't have a chance to test this on more courts. However if anyone wants to give it a try and provide some feedback... Sorry folks... I was hoping to have a chance to work on this a bit more before heading out of town on business, but such is life with work/kids/wife etc!!

http://www.mediafire.com/download/6i69z ... tate77.rar

consider this a soft release, until I can test it on more courts. the preset name is goldenstatev2... just copy the preset into the preset folder (wherever you saved the reshade/mediator files)...e.g. reshade/personal files/presets

Edit-oh, and after you save to you reshade presets folder, you then must select it. In mediator, select nba2k16 (on left menu), click update, then on right select the goldenstatev2 preset, then hit "apply" (on top). You can switch to different presets while in game, just alt tab back to mediator, select the preset, click apply, then alt tab back to game.

RAW--thanks for posting the screens bro, great shots too! Really glad you the settings. Reshade allows you to adjust the tuningpallete, which can give an enb style feel. I was a little nervous about uploading as I didn't have a chance to do much testing (only a handful of courts/teams) but I just ran out of time, and now sitting in a cafe in London, half a world away (rain--shocker). If you/others have feedback I can tweak it when I get back in town.

Hey Syncinatti--if you want to give it another try, can you play the game for a bit then pm the dxgi.log to me? I can take a look and also ask the developers to take a look. There are a few reports out there of people experiencing the same thing (or similar)--e.g. Frame drops even with the shaders off. Would you also remind me the specs of you computer ( I got the 970). I mean, the drop with the the shaders on is somewhat understandable--the nvidia drivers are super optimized, the game isn't super optimized, and 4K is a s-ton of pixels. But 30% plus is too much. Sounds like somethings not working right, so hopefully I can get some clues from the log file.

No problem man! Great stuff!
By the way, have you try it on a stadium with crowd lighting mod? goldenstatev2 is kinda too dark on it, especially on Knicks court with Maumau's lighting, other than that, i'm diggin it! (Y)
I hope you can tweak it lil bit, cause i gotta say, Maumau's work on stadium lighting is amazing...

I love this SweetFX, but for some reason, this always crashes my game during halftime report to desktop... any idea on a fix?

hey man. the crashing at the half time report is likely another mod and not reshade, or reshade conflicting with another mod. reshade itself is fairly light, and of a couple thousand downloads (and over 10k downloads for nba2k15), this is the first I've heard of reshade or sweetfx causing the game to crash at the halftime report. Does you game crash if you run without reshade? If you have the steam version, you can try checking the files by right clicking nba2k16 in steam, selecting the local files tab, then selecting verify integrity of game cache. as others have said, be sure to turn off steam's in game overlay.

I'll retry it, I was using the sweet FX mod and i made sure to have the steam overlay checked off. I'll report if the crash happens again.
