Mad Max: The Vidya Game

Anyone else pick it up? Got it half off on GMG (expired now) but there are still deals popping up for it.

I've got it maxxed (not "very high", maxxed maxxed) and running a smooth 60, so unless I missed something this first night this isn't a Batman situation

And so far, its fuunn

I'd only budgeted for one post-apocalyptic game this year, but that does look tempting.

I'm hesitating between this and Metal Gear Solid V for today. I was initially gonna go for Mad Max, but now that some reviews are in, it looks like its scope is ultimately pretty limited and combat gets quickly boring, which reminds me of why I never spend that much time on games like Assassin's Creed or Batman, or why I never even finished Watch Dogs...
Not sure I wanna spend 60 bucks on this today, but we'll see.

EDIT: well, after watching more videos of both games (trying to understand the convoluted story behind MGS so far, since I never played any of those games), and because I'm just a sucker for anything post-apocalyptic, I still ended up picking Mad Max, downloading it now. I'm just hoping I won't have any issues making x360ce work with it, it really doesn't seem to be the kind of game of game that's fun to play with keyboard & mouse...

That camera jump during hits is horrible. Game looks fun, otherwise. Not something I am interested in paying full price for, especially with Fallout 4 and bball games coming soon.

So the game is really quite fun I gotta say. I wish there was more substance to it, and I was expecting the visuals to be crisper (it's good looking at max settings, but it's no Witcher 3 either), but so far I'm liking it. I'm hoping I won't lose interest in it after a few hours, but it looks like there's enough looting and customization to make it stay appealing, aside from the awesome post-apocalyptic atmosphere.
