Simpsons fan creates games from the show

There's Simpsons fans—some purists, loyalists, devotees and groupies most definitely fill the Pedestrian offices—and then there's SIMPSONS fans, the people whose line-by-line knowledge of the cult TV show surely surpasses Matt Groening's own, and whose passion passed from "novelty" to "straight up frightening" so very long ago.

'Kevin Costner's Waterworld' (from Season 8's "The Springfield Files"), 'Escape From Grandma's House' (from far simpler times in Season 2's "Bart Gets An F") and 'Larry The Looter' (Season 3's "Radio Bart") have all witnessed a renaissance fit for the internet today, as all three games have been made available for free download by the developer.

Back in my Windows 95 days, I used to have Virtual Springfield and I think you could play a lot of the games in the arcade on that game. Not sure if any of those titles were involved though.

I think Escape from Grandma's House has the most potential

I believe Super Slugfest was one of the titles in the Arcade of Virtual Springfield. It'd be cool to see a flash port of it.

Speaking of fighting games that were featured in the Simpsons, I wonder if Cat Fight was a reference to the DOS game.

it's tempting to believe Catfight was designed as a sneaky feminist ploy, since it serves as perfect punishment for sexist males who might buy it. Our scoring system won't let us give zeroes, so Atlantean owes us one star.
