Cars. Just Cars.

Sat Feb 08, 2014 8:27 am

Me, being a car lover find it insulting that there aren't any car active topics on the forum (I'm too lazy to track them down, if any)

What car do you drive ? How does it drive, some pros and cons?

What car would you like to drive

Image

I drive a 2008 Renault Megane, has been really dependable so far, with no major malfunctions. I must be one of the few people to stumble upon a good Renault.

Image

As for a car I would like to drive, Toyota Supra no question. It's just i haven't got thousands of dollars to throw into the wind, you know, trying to maintain an unmaintainable car. That sexiness though

Also, some good or bad deals, too get the word out on which cars are actually worth buying, and which aren't

Dang. That's pretty dope.

But I've never heard of it before. Perhaps, they never sold it here.

Porsche Panamera,

They aren't sold in north america.

I don't get the love towards Panamera. The only ugly Porsche I've ever seen.

Panamera is unique and has classy feels. Also that every household now days has beemer, mercedez, or audi.

Only problem is with its overpriced price tag and ridiculous upkeep cost.

For a moment there I thought I was reading the Mac/Apple thread.
Carry on.

I hate Audi from the bottom of my heart. I hate every car from the VW group (except the Lambo).

Classy feel ? Well it's a Porsche, nothing new there. As for the money expenses...fucking Porsche.

yeah i dont understand why people like the panamera. if they like traditional, fast sports cars, shouldn't they like the 911 or carerra gt more?

renault doesnt sell cars here but i know about it from playing Gran Turismo

and while playing Gran Turismo growing up, I fell in love with this car (that I now drive every day) since it was allowed to race in the Boxer engine races as well as the 4WD races, which the Evo does not:

i don't think id want to drive another car. maybe if someone gave me a supercar like the Audi R8.

Difference is that Mac/Apple users have vaginas. Proof: You can see em at the starbucks pretending to be busy being intelligent.

You insolent kids will naturally get it someday probably when you grow up and finally have hair on your balls. Buying a Subaru Legacy/Forester over STI is kinda like buying a Panamera over Porsche 911.

Bought a Volvo V60 recently. It's a really nice car and my first Volvo but most likely not the last. Have to upload some pics.

I have this impression that a Volvo officially makes you an old man. Maybe 50ish.

Fuck your cars, get a horse.

but why would anyone buy a legacy/forester if the sti is an option? thats what i am trying to get at

SteveHTOWN just bought a V60 which is equivalent to Legacy Outback in JDM. What you think ugly and shit is beauty to some people's eyes.

I've had 4 sports cars in my life. 93 beat up Civic, slk230, 350z, and currently s2k(keeper, discontinued model holds value well).

These are just great toy cars (esp for those in 20s). So is your STI. There's nothing wrong to like about Legacy or Forester.

2012 MazdaSPEED3, bought with just 3,900 miles on it. Cheesy "I'm 24, here's my car, can you tell it goes fast?" looks, so much power under the bonnet that the torque steer makes for a fun game of "hold the wheel steady padawan" when you floor it in lower gears.

Image

God I love it so much.

First car was an '02 Fiat Punto that I had for all of my university years. 1.2L, 78HP, "Sporting" edition which meant it held quite nicely compared to other cars in the range, but still cheap enough to understeer you to your death if you pushed it just a bit too far. It didn't go fast except its nice acceleration in 2nd, but it always put a smile on my face.

Wow. I want one now in this economy, you could save tons $$$ on petro and is still 4 wheel 4 seat and has roof over your head. Also quite a look for its class, not too shabby. Only prob is Fiat's overpriced where I live. :(

I'll make sure to give you a quote once my brother is through university or gets another car.

Used to drive a 2008 Pontiac G6

but the car had engine issues, so I traded it in and got a 2014 Ford Focus sedan

Overall, I was happy with both cars, both drove equally well, but the focus has the voice-activated sync system, which is quite convenient when talking on the phone and such.

Not as badass as JaoSming. But this is MY RIDE:

Not just cars. More than a car.

The photo was taken with my phone at the place where me and my friends usually hang out at night. The place has free WiFi, so that's a bonus.

All pictures are the actual colors of the cars I had...

My first car was my parents' 1998 Ford Explorer. To this day it might be my favorite vehicle, and if I didn't commute 35 miles each way to and from work, I'd still have a truck or SUV.
Image

Then during college I bought a 2000 Dodge Stratus -- "I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS!!!"
Image

Then, when I first became a teacher and started making some money, I bought a 2004 BMW 325i. My first manual transmission car, and I absolutely loved driving it. I got a ton of tickets, though, and was paying the DMV I think $150 every year just to maintain my license. It was also absurdly expensive to maintain. It took premium gasoline, oil changes were $100, and even the slightest repair would range from $1500 - $2500. After two years of driving it, I had to trade it in.
Image

Which brings me to my current car. The first one I ever bought brand new. A 2011 Hyundai Sonata SE. No real complaints about it. I've had it for 3 1/2 years, and it's done good by me. I'm considering trading it in, however, since many new crossovers get very similar fuel economy, and if I could get more space without sacrificing fuel cost, I may have to do it...

My first car was a Chrysler Concorde hand-me-down from my mom and I drove it for 9 years. it was basically a Stratus with Chrysler badges on it. it was a fucking tank and was a great "starter" car
