Extra forum suggestion

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Extra forum suggestion

:o
I had this thought after i joined up at the realgm forums.
At the realgm, a lot of their whole huuuuuge forum is about suggesting possible NBA trades that could take place. So I thought that it would be a sweet idea if Andrew adds a new forum deticated to NBA trades...suggest trades or talk about trades that have happened. You could call the forum, "NBA Trades" or "Trade board" or "NBA Trade boards".
You'd use the realgm trade checker to make the trade suggestions and give the people the trade ID (if you've done this before you'll know what i'm talking about.) at the start of each post. :) and you would make a sticky at the top to tell the people the link of the realgm trade checker...and it would be LOTS OF FUN! :D

Open your mind Andrew! consider this! :D After all, what's the worst that can happen? i know there will be people that will find this heaps fun.

btw, try make a smart transaction with the help of RealGM's "Trade Checker".

It's not about being open or close minded - it's just that the NBA Talk section generally isn't all that busy, so there's really no need to open another real-life NBA board.

I have a suggestion too, maybe kinda lame but, u c at a lot of forums that by the number of posts u get a rating, its a lil' thing buts its kinde a cool and u would rapidly know how active some members are or how long they have been around(of curz u can read that in the info but still :P ). U know like, uptil fifty posts, rookie, hundred posts starter, fivehundred all star, thousand superstar and stuff :p, u can go on like that...
Wether u do it or not, in each case Andrew, u would be "NBA-legend" .

The amount of my posts would probably rank me as the Kareem of the NLSC Forum, but remember it's the content that counts. I can't honestly say that all of my posts have been particularly inspirational or thought provoking - some of them are just moderating, not very interesting at all. I appreciate the compliment though. :)

About the ranks idea - I haven't enabled it in this forum, since I feel it causes people to spam just to achieve a rank. Also, I'd prefer everyone to be judged by their contribution to the forum and the content of their posts, not how many times they've posted. I know ranks are fun and all, but they do invite spamming. Still, that's how some of the great threads in the old forum got started. :)

I'm really sad to hear that. :(

What if enough people like the idea? could it change your mind? :D

C'mon Andrew...it would make the forum so much more enjoyable...for such a small price too...and if it turns up being shit...why not just delete it?
Just give it a go. :)

Sorry, the answer is no. This isn't an NBA forum - the NBA Talk board is provided because most NBA Live players are NBA fans, so there should be a place to discuss the real NBA. There's really no need to create another NBA themed board.

An nba trade board wouldn't be very active here. It would be bone dry cause i doubt people are gonna spend time on this nba live fanboard discussing trades in the nba. That's just my opinion though (y)

Those are my thoughts, too. It's not that it's a bad idea - just one that won't work with an NBA Live forum. :)

Yeah, i talked about it on MSN with Andrew and i came to agree. I'll just make a thread in NBA Talk for it if i think of a trade.
