well looks like we have 3 Italian teams in the Semi's, crap, i was hopin for 3 Spanish clubs and Ajax
I hate watching Italian clubs play, they make me so bored and have of those players have long hair which in itself is
annoying. Oh well, even though Man U won 4-3 the lose on aggregate. Good game.........Barthez sucks, i've been saying that
since the day they got him. The 1st goal was his fault. Didn't he learn how to cover the post, that was a gift to Ronaldo.
Beckham scored a great goal and then added another, could of scored a 3rd but he kicked that 90min free kick to high, i thought
he should of kicked it in the top right corner, had that shot dipped Casillas would of had it covered
Anyway, Madrid are a superior team........let's see Ronaldo, Zidane, Raul anf Figo, i think all of those guys won either
world player of the year or eauropean player of the year (???? could someone confirm) and they also have Carlos the worlds
best left back and Casillas one of the best goalies around. Well, i'm goin for Real, i don't think anyone can stop them.
Zidane will be happy to play against Juve and kick their asses as well. Maybe if Man U were on the other half of the draw
they could of made the semi's, but in this game they weren't great, they played the shitty ball so much, oh well, i was goin for Real anyway

this should be moved to other sports...

meanwhile...

i think that it's all pretty much bullshit...

Furgueson does seem unfund of backham...

plus if the trade does happen...niether backham or figo will fit in the starting lineups...playing diffrent positions...and i doubt that man u will trade backham for anybody other than figo...

Real would be stupid by goin' after Beckham, what position would he play?

They have to improve their defense. Hierro is bad, Helguera is horrible, and their right back is their worst player...

Beckham will end up going he is sick of dealing with all the bullshit at United. Sir Alex has a problem with him for some reason. I mean why the hell would you not start Beckham in a tight game like that?!?!?! He finally puts him on and he scores a goal almost staright away, the follows it with another. Crazy....just crazy. I'd like to see Beckham in Madrid (as if they need another star), but a swap for Figo would be good for United also. If the rumours about Kewell signing with Man U if Beckam leaves that would leave United with a very good attack. Van Nistleroy and Figo with Kewell feeding them.

Real are Europes best team, all they gotta do now is prove it

Ferguson's behaviour can be explained very easily: you seen how red the guys nose is? That can only mean one thing :)

If I was Man United, I'd trade Beckham and hope to land Lebro... ah whoops, that just seems to be the trend of all topics these days :D

well as i have to talk all day about this in work i might as well put my views across. Beckham's move all depends on his bitch, if she say's jump golden ball's say how high. Imo if man u dont win the league then he will go for sure, for me iam not arsed!! iam a liverpool fan and hate the manc's anyway. the only time il cheer for beckham is England game's so if he want's to go and earn 160.000 a week then let him and he can take his skinny bitch spice girl with him !

i think the rumor is, if beckham goes, i think manchester united will try and go after Ronaldihno... because from since last year & most parts of the season, they've been trying to get him!

besides, like most of the soccer analysists say: "who needs david beckham, when you have Rud Van Nistleroy?"

Holy shit...Backham goes to Madrid!!!!!

Beckham moves to Madrid
Tuesday, 17 June 2003
David Beckham has joined Real Madrid CF from Manchester United FC on a four-year deal for a fee of €35m. Both clubs confirmed on Tuesday evening that a deal had been reached for the transfer of the 28-year-old England captain.

Promotional tour
Beckham, who is in the Far East on a promotional tour, is expected to sign for his new club on 2 July after completing a medical. Beckham’s departure from United, whom he joined as a 14-year-old schoolboy, has long been rumoured and Madrid have beaten off competition for his signature from rivals FC Barcelona, whose newly-elected president Joan Laporta had declared his intention of signing Beckham.

Latest big name
Beckham becomes the latest big-name player to sign for Madrid, following Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo, summer arrivals in 2000, 2001 and 2002 respectively. Beckham also teams up with compatriot Steve McManaman at the Bernabéu stadium. Beckham played 394 times and scored 85 goals in his Manchester United senior career and won the UEFA Champions League with the club in 1999, as well as six FA Premiership titles.

Personal terms agreed
A statement on the United website said: “The deal is expected to be completed in July, conditional upon approval by the boards of Manchester United and Real Madrid, and on the provision of satisfactory payment guarantees. David Beckham has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid and expects to sign his new contract with the club on completion.”

'Integral part of our success'
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: "I’ve known David since he was eleven years of age, and it’s been a pleasure to see him grow and develop into the player he has become. David has been an integral part of all the successes that Manchester United have achieved in the last decade. I would like to wish him and his family every success in the future, and thank him for his service to the club."

Terms of agreement
Under the terms of the agreement, €7.5m of the total fee will be paid upon completion of the sale, and €17.5m over the following four years in equal instalments. The remaining €10m is conditional upon Real Madrid's performances in the UEFA Champions League. Under the deal, €1.25m is payable in each of the next four seasons conditional on Madrid qualifying for the Champions League, and a further €1.25m is payable each season conditional on Madrid reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League over the same period.

Yeah, Real Madrid & FC Barcelona are probably the top 2 teams who have the best chance of getting Beckham!

But really and truly, Beckham is not going back to Man United? Because of his relationship with Sir Alex Fergason, which isn't good; and very few people know this?
A few days the second game vs. Real Madrid at Old Traffod, Alex Fergason and Beckham got into some kind of disagreement, and Fergason ended up throwing something at Beckman, and he ended up with a cut, on his forehead or somewhere?

And that's why he didn't start the game vs. Real Madrid at Old Traffod!

i hear there are plans to move becks to the left wing...
OR... move figo to central midfield (a tough one, since zidane owns that), give beckham the right wing...

a moronic transfer imo... Real doesn't even have half of the money they offered for him (they are in debt by hundreds of millions now)... that pretty boy seriously screwed the new Barcelona president... he should've gone there instead, atleast it would make some sense...

booo!!!

well it's official - i hate real madrid!

it seems that they've got all the money in the world, so the superstars keep coming in....

btw, who's next? the midfield and fowards make it seem like a dream team
so imho some new defenders are coming next season (or maybe even this season)

you can't make a team better if you spend all money on offensive players... real's defense has been getting worse by the year... hierro is too old... and the others suck pretty much... roberto carlos nowadays never stays in defense, always runs to attack... stupid deal...

and where they get their money, it beats me... they're in like hundreds of millions of debts... i seriously wish they fail next season... in all competitions.

well...i agree...trade was terrible...now Madrid will have to madke all their money on merchandice swelling (which is probebly their plan....) i'd buy a Backham Madrid shirt...

but what's true is true...the defence does suck....But well...with Backham....Roberto Carlos might stay back since in my opinion backham should be the one to take all the Free Kicks and Spot Kicks...Hierro is old, but he's still a motivating player...he's more of a team mascot on the field than a defender....Salgado is a pretty good player though...

Me too, and I'm Spanish!!
I'm fed up of reading Spanish sports papers and watching TV News where Beckham appears everytime. In Spain, today is more important Beckham than the EU meeting in Greece :x

Well... Real Madrid is a great team and all... But Figo, Zidane, Beckham, Ronaldo, Raul... Will they ever play effectively together? I dunno...

I would look to improve their defense... As everybody says, players there are getting old...

(N) for me...
