BUMP-O.

Well the Hardy art is temporarily shelved for now, but I'll definitely continue working on it.

Here's the reason why it's delayed:

phpBB [video]

It's a 30-second ad for the "Sole" sandal / flip-flops / slippers fictional product with all animations done in Adobe After Effects CS3. Used a bit of Video Copilot's "Evolution" third-party elements. Most of the sprites and images were made in Adobe Photoshop CS3. The flip-flop designs were horrendously designed under several identical white flip-flop pics I Googled a few days ago. Pretty much amazing to me. Entire ad is at 30 frames per second, basic camera panning used as well.

It's freelance work again, so uhh, hope it's not for free.

Definitely better than the ads I see at that screen in Lawton.

Not familiar with those though.

The logo I created had a localized style IMO. Based on several local brands too. The sun may represent the Philippine flag sun -- with eight rays. The rays are silhouettes of the sandals.

Primary logo:

Secondary logo:

This ad thing is as fuzzy as it could get. The client didn't give any resource material (like the storyboard, source pictures, raw videos, AND THE LOGO ITSELF) so I have to whip up with different slippers/sandals/flip-flop designs using like three to four repeated flip-flop pics I looked into the net. Mind you, the guys who had me do this are advertising students, the only concept they brought into this is the product name. :shake:

Like I used this:

...for seven times.

Anyway a couple of recent stuff the past weeks:

The first one, a school work -- regarding distributing relief goods to students and employees that were affected by the typhoon Ketsana; the latter: a freelance work.

Wow. Just wow. All of them are amazing Lean. (Y)

As for the sandals, I really like how you used the shape of the sandals as the rays. Very clever. ;)

The storm one is very effective as well. I actually felt like lending a hand whilst reading it. :P

The last one, meh. Maybe it's the girl and her big ass eyes.

That logo reminded me of Summerslam.

I like the the simplicity of the GIVE one.

The logo kinda took something out of Islander, I believe it's the ellipse thing. The "GIVE" one is a rushed one, I was doing the video when the marketing head gave me a PM instructing me to do something like that.

Modifly wrote:The last one, meh. Maybe it's the girl and her big ass eyes.

I forgot to tell you guys that I didn't steal the photo like I used to do it.

The client for the ad contacted me awhile ago, asking me to revise the video when it's already been finalized. Thing is, the client's groupmates gave a damn when the video was done, and asked for changes.

:shake: Kids these days.

Someone at deviantART re-touched Cameron (nobody touches Cameron! I mean, literally) and here's what he did:

Took him a lot of time to smudge for sure.

I like them both but, no offense Lean, I like the second one a little more :shifty: Great job with the sandals!

Well that's the neatest thing I've done so far in After Effects. I do plan to have it extended too.

I plan to use that as intro to all future videos that I'll be doing.

I'll see if I can whip up something for you. Time isn't really on my side these past few months.

Anyway, after being shelved for a few months:
