i have a feeling there will be a big gun battle with a few people dying. i hope they don't pussyfoot around and aim for a movie spinoff like other series. i will shed a tear next week when it's all over though

I'm guessing Vic is gonna die, I sure as hell hope Shane and Mara die...and after Claudette going all apeshit recently, might as well be her too. Cunt.

Then again, the serial killer kid seems to be playing for Dutch, so him dying...hmm?

I thought Shane was gonna end Tina in the last episode too.

*sigh* It's over.

Great read regarding the last episode.

I leave you with this quote from Michael "Mackey" Chiklis...

" 'The Shield' is over, it's done," he said. "As for Vic Mackey . . ." The actor threw his head back and chuckled. "I'll just leave it at that."

Ronnie got the biggest screw over.

Fuckin Corrine. Her damn fault Ronnie got screwed. Watched the eps with my moms again yesterday...that confession scene was epic.

Another standout:

Claudette shows Vic pics of Shane/Mara/Jackson...you see remorse/pain in his eyes..then on the tv screen he sort of just...shakes it off...then when he opens his eyes...there's a monster. The Vic Mackey monster.

Awesome. I love the guy.

yeah i was waiting for Claudette to see him on the monitor crying and have sympathy for him but i guess he realized she was still watching him so he snapped out of it. I wonder where the series would've gone if a)Lem never died or b) if they killed Shane off in like season 4 or 5. i remember reading a Shawn Ryan interview where he said he considered doing that.

What? A TV show I watched wasn't realistic?

By golly gosh, I thought everything on TV was the reals.

But hey, atleast you get a kick out of your own posts.

I could explain your own thought process to you, but that would be
too selfindulgent. not to mention pointless.

I like a lot of the things I do. is something wrong with being happy with who I am?

Funny you talk about self indulgence in one sentence...then go on to tell me you do indeed get a kick out of yourself.

Anyway, you're boring me now...so fuck you & have a nice day.

liking who you are is not the same as selfindulgence.

ok. enjoy hating yourself.

I'm rewatching this from the beginning and I'm on episode two of season two where Vic goes to Armadillo's house and...well pretty much beats the shit out of him with a law book.

Michael Chiklis is the fucking bomb as Vic Mackey. Fuckin' A. Awesome.

I also just realized that the guy from Cold Case is Armadillo.

yeah they had a lot of cameos and a few Shield regulars are showing up in new stuff. obviously Chiklis is in ABC's No Modern FAmily, Shane is in FX's Justified and the upcoming movie Cowboys & Aliens (yes, that is a movie with Daniel Craig. I laughed hysterically when i saw the trailer on tv), Dutch showed up on ABC's V, Claudette was in the movie Orphan and Avatar, & Det. Hyatt was in that movie with J-Lo and is now on the reboot of Hawai'i Five-O. I didn't really like Franka Potente's role on the show, but as mentioned before, Anthony Anderson, Paula Garces, Michael Peña, Glenn Close, & Forest Whitaker were all fucking fantastic.

still curious how it wouldve turned out had Shawn Ryan killed off Shane in Season 4. Lem probably wouldve lived to see the finale.

some of my all-time favorite moments were the pimpology part (sadly all of the links are broken)
Inside an interrogation room.

Spank is the pimp
Tori is the prostitute ("upper class" white girl)
Dutch is the detective (trying to get some)
Billings is the acting-captain (wuss)

Dutch: (lying out his ass) Your girl just gave you up. Said it was all your idea and you’re the one who beat up the john.

Spank: Now I know that didn’t happen. (Glances up at Billings, who just got smacked around by Tori) Ewww… She put the claws in you right? You shouldn’t let no woman do you like that.

Dutch: A girl like Tori, smart, educated, good job…. How do you turn out a girl like that?

Spank: Any punk can get some crack-ho to go down on dick. But how do I get a little pink-toe from Westwood to do whatever I say whenever I say?

Every chick got a hole in they heart… and it’s connected to the one between they legs. I just figure out how to fill it. Then I feed it to her, and I keep feeding it to her, ‘til it’s overflowin. Till she can’t live without it. Then I take it away.

That makes me GOD.

Tori was easy. Her fiancée left her last year for some young-blood bitch. I just kept telling old-girl she was like some Prom Queen from back in the day. And that white faggot dude? He didn’t have eyes to see.

Sooner or later… all bitches break. Every God-damn one. That’s if you got game.

Billings: That’s why she’s your whore?

Spank: If you’re born a woman, I can make you my ho. Which is why she’s saying I have nothing to do with any illegal shit.

Spank: Now that you all have some pimp-ology… no charge…. My black ass is outta here right?

and also when Vic tells Forest Whitaker "I fucked your wife... TWICE" my roommate and I still quote that to this day.

Jackal, I stumbled on this article on Grantland and was reminded how awesome this show was.

Thanks for sharing that, I'm actually re-watching the series per episode in the gym on my iPad on the elliptical. It's usually around the 45 minute mark and keeps your mind occupied.

This is probably my favorite show of all time with Breaking Bad. While I tell anyone and everyone that The Wire is the best show all time this one will always remain my favorite.

I haven't seen The Wire, but with all the hype from basically everyone in the world plus how much I liked The Shield, there's little chance of me actually liking it and watching the whole thing so I've stayed away from it

and it was a Shield flashback when I played Battlefield Hardline and Benito Martinez basically reprised his role as Captain Azeveda

Yeah I saw David in House of Cards and it's weird because he's just always going to be David to me.

The Wire is completely different though. It's a whole different animal to the Shield, their writing and complete story tie in is just a beauty. I'd try to separate the two mentally and give it a shot.

Also if you ever do, don't give up after 3 episodes...so many people do because it's "boring". It's just a lot of characters but once you know them all..that shits addictive. I had the same with Six Feet Under for that matter, took me a bit to get in to the show.
