Here's to hoping that Daniel Bryan wins, and introduces the new belt on Raw 1000.

That was awesome

but yea, possible botched ending to the Raw MITB, winner may be scripted that way, but the ending was weird and ended the show with 10 minutes left before 11

my favorite match was the Smackdown MITB match. sick move by Tyson Kidd. hope he continues to get pushed.

Wow, that was a hell of a spot by Tensai and Ziggler.

Was anyone surprised that Cena won the WWE Championship MITB? Once again, the championship match itself doesn't get to close the show, though at least this time the one that did fits with the theme of the PPV, kind of like the Royal Rumble closing out its namesake event.

I still think its BS, since Punk winning last year was last on (again, for obvious reasons) but I think this is why I've been liking TNA so much. Each of the titles have so much value, worth, want, etc. This week is "Open Fight Night" and Hogan told Roode to call out Aries if he wants a rematch....but it won't be for the title, right there shows TNA's change of heart by not having a hvywgt title match on Impact. TV title is defended each week, and all the minor title holders are elevated above the challengers and seem to show some kind of respect to the titles. Even though Roode was going against Aries, a minor title holder, that match was promoted waaay over any of the Bound for Glory series matches, even though awesome matchups and storylines like Joe/Angle and big names like Storm/Hardy/etc are in it.

anyway, this was on Wrestlezone
The WWE Championship match did not close out Money in the Bank. The last time the WWE Championship ended the night was at TLC in December of 2011. January had the Royal Rumble match, February had Kane vs. John Cena, Wrestlemania had Rock vs. Cena, Extreme Rules featured the return of Brock Lesnar, Over the Limit featured Cena vs. Laurinaitis, and last month No Way Out ended with John Cena vs. The Big Show. It looks like Summerslam will end with Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar, which would put a possible WWE Championship match to end Night of Champions in September.

and fun stats from PWI
I just wanted to note, that with John Cena winning at Saturday's Supershow in Tucson, he won his 100th match in 2012. He needed 108 matches for that (4 losses and 4 draws/no contest).

Daniel Bryan has the most WWE matches in 2012 so far with 113 (35 wins, 74 losses, 4 draws/no contests).
Opinions are my own.

I suppose it's a way of getting him back into the title picture, to do Cena vs Rock II for the WWE Championship next year at Wrestlemania.

It's still working for me at the moment. Should it go down, a quick search of "rikishi return raw 2012" on YouTube should yield a copy for anyone who wants to see it. (Y)

I feel that the end to Raw 1000 is Cena hoisting up the WWE title. :(

Yeah, I'd be surprised if they didn't have him go over so that there's a major title change on a milestone episode. Hey, at least it's not Khali going over.

I could however see a swerve where someone like Big Show interferes and costs Cena the title, making him the first MITB winner to cash it in and not win the championship...or perhaps Ziggler cashes in his MITB title shot and wins the title from Cena. The latter isn't my ideal situation, switching the title again so quickly, but I could see them doing it.

Zigg's is for the other title. Pretty sure they made them exclusive to one or the other.

If WWE is still going to book all MITB winners as future champs, Ziggler's reign is on the way.

And also I'm seeing this as if Cena wins next Monday, Rock will appear to challenge him at SummerSlam... rendering Punk useless. :(

Summerslam? I've heard that the WWE would wait all the way till Wrestlemania 29 just to do that, and at Summerslam have a rematch between Punk and Cena.

i would be very sad if dolph becomes the first to cash in and not win it. but he has such a big following, i don't know if wwe is dumb enough to toy with people's emotions when it comes to ziggler

Is there a hardline (kayfabe) rule on that, though? Even if there is, we're supposed to forget about these things all the time in professional wrestling angles so it wouldn't be completely out of left field. If the title shot is meant to be exclusive to one or the other though, I guess it's probably less likely than a DQ finish, with Cena going over being the most likely scenario.

Also, do you think the new belt (if they ever did come up with one) will appear tomorrow on Raw?
