Probably from either France, Ivory Coast or Senegal, too.

Modest off season so far for the Blues. Only Asier Del Horno made a relative splash.

Chelsea are fucking up the World I've decided... I mean I have no trouble with a big team buying big name players and being successful, but 90% of their signings just seem to be for the sake of signing someone. Scott Parker, he was the heart and soul of Charlton on the field and was basically dominating the EPL at the time they signed him... they played him a few times then we never saw him again.

Hernan Crespo was a smash hit... on loan at Milan. When Mutu got busted doing drugs he wasn't playing anyways so no one cared. They signed Kezman, a 23(?) year old striker who was apparentely a World class prospect... what's he doing now? Being sold to Atletico Madrid or something like that. They signed Drogba based on God knows what, he scores a few goals and they're shopping him too. Glen Johnson was a potential star when he was bought by them. Their first signing after Roman took over I think.

I really don't get what they're trying to achieve, you can have a successful team without screwing up the development of loads of players while you're at it.

As far as Vieira goes... I read Juve originally offered something ridiculous like 3 million and Stephen Appiah... as good as Appiah is, he aint no Patrick Vieira.

Don't blame Roman, Real Madrid started that charade way before Chelski did...

All Roman wants to do is launder some money from his illegal weapon business...

Well yeah, but up until recently they actually play the players they buy. They've always been very selective with who they signed, i.e one star a season which worked out well because they always had a spot in the team. That's only just started to go wrong recently when they've signed too many strikers and someone like Owen doesn't get to play.

Roman had a list of players he wanted at the club when he went to Chelsea. He's not really just sitting back and doing nothing there.

I guess they'd give Cesc Fabregas a shot, he was awesome when Vieira was out earlier in the season from memory.
