Rhyno and (The) Brian Kendrick apparently returned on NXT. Whaaaaaat????
Is this going to be a new thing?
Sun Mar 01, 2015 8:02 pm
Apparently so. I've read that while NXT will primarily be used to groom talent for the main roster, it'll also be treated as a separate brand with some workers (new and old) being brought in to strengthen the show and remain a part of it, rather than working their way up (or back) to the main shows.

Worked shoot. I agree, his mike work has been just about the best in the company these past few years.

So there's a leaked script of the main event at WM, which most certainly guarantees that it will be modified.
No big surprises in it, but perhaps the most interesting part was reading "Pipe in 'THIS IS AWESOME' chants over sound system."
It was kind of a big deal when the Atlanta Falcons were accused of piping in fake crowd noise to distract their opponents on offense, but since this is all scripted anyways, it's their way of getting the audience to chant whatever they want since they're just sheeps anyways.

So last year YES chant for Bryan is scripted and their just fake crowd noise?
WHY U DO THIS?
Randy Orton have a good "promo" on Raw too.

WCW started piping in additional "Goldberg" chants when he was already way over and drawing great crowd reactions. When it became obvious, it ultimately hurt the reactions he was getting.
WWE would be wise to learn from that, as well as their own mistakes in trying to tell the fans what's awesome and what they want. Show, don't tell, and make them want it.

According to the Wreddit community this has already been happening, but with editing not piping it in. Evidently (because I haven't been watching the full shows despite going to WM next week) they kill the crowd mics when Bryan comes out, and use fake reactions + tight camera angles to avoid showing the crowd for Reigns.
The post -
http://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/c ... d_how_wwe/Smackdown has had edited reactions for a long time now, but if all that is true WM should be interesting from the smark side of things.

So basically this Wrestlemania season is the "WE DON'T GIVE A FUCK WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT" phase of WWE.
Sun Mar 22, 2015 1:53 am
awesome promo. the ladder match will probably wind up being my favorite match at WM.
Sun Mar 22, 2015 2:44 am
Did they just forgot about the Goldust/Stardust feud?
Sun Mar 22, 2015 5:56 pm
Pretty much. It should've happened at Wrestlemania last year, they've probably missed the boat on that one.

So now that Lesnar has resigned, this opens up a lot of possibilities in the main event.

Very cool.

I still hope he drops the title. I don't think what they've tried to sell has really worked, it's time to get the title back on TV on a regular basis, held by a full-time performer. Have Reigns win, or have Rollins cash in. I'm fine with either scenario at this point.

Dang, looking trim these days. I was about to make a fatboy fly joke about you two having the same catchphrase

and after hearing about WWE piping in chants, I started listening for it and it sounded like they faked a "This is Awesome" chant when HHH was outside of the ring when Sting was talking

For a while there, I forgot that they even had a champion lol
Honestly I don't think it's necessary to have the champ show up every week as they've shown that it works. Hell, even in the old school 1 hour Raw shows they didn't have the champ show up every week to stand in the ring and talk for 20 minutes.
In a crazy alternative to the likely Roman winning/Seth cashing and losing scenario, Brock wins and Seth cashes to lose and they keep the belt on Brock to break CM Punk's record which they really want to break. Or Taker comes back to cost Brock the title as payback for breaking his streak.
Thu Mar 26, 2015 6:30 pm
Has it really "worked", though? At best, it hasn't completely ruined the product. I don't think it's made the product any better, or the championship any more meaningful.
There's merit in not overexposing the champion, not having the title defended at every single special event or weekly on RAW, but even in the old days, the champ was usually on the road and making regular appearances. As much as anything else, it's a slap in the face to the talent who are busting their asses week in and week out to put on a show and make the company money, when they can't challenge for the title on a regular basis, let alone one of them actually be champion.
