Not trying to rip into you, but maybe learn a thing or two about music genre's. Jet is nowhere near punk. They were pub rock with a side of rhythms and blues (in the traditional sense). Now they are moving towards glam and retro Brit-Pop.

All those other bands I mentioned wouldn't be punk IMO either. They would be pop-rock or pop-punk at best. Like Green Day, or as I like to call them, the band who sold their sole and are now a parody of themselves. There is very little proper punk these days, and for that that does exist it is mostly underground.
