My brother who's not into those sort of flicks is raving about it. Might have to give it a go.

I watched "Up", was a pretty cool movie. I also partly watched District 9 but the first 20 minutes was boring so i turned it off, kinda like when I watched Cloverfield.

Also saw this old movie called "Addicted to Love" with matthew broderick and meg ryan. Broderick sucks in this movie, it's like he looks lost in every scene.

Okay so I saw Avatar on Saturday... I must say that it looks unbelievable, visually. But the movie itself just didn't really appeal to me. The first hour or so was pretty boring I thought, and found myself losing track of what was going on because I kept zoning out and thinking of other things. That is the first time I've ever done that at the cinema. However there was one scene toward the end of the movie with the big fight scene and everything is blowing, people catching on fire etc. which I thought was really cool and really well done.

Overall I would only give the movie a 2.5/5 but I really only went to see it because of it's hype and being "the most expensive movie of all time" and what not. People who are actually interested in it and really want to see it, I recommend it.

Just watched Star Trek, then District 9, and finally just a while ago, Avatar.... Star Trek was pretty nice and never being a very big Star Trek fan, it eased a casual fan like me into the story. District 9 pretty heavy, though amazingly made, and addressed a lot of stuff. But wow Avatar, that one stole the show, we basically left the movie and could not stop talking about it... Definitely buying this in Blue Ray or whatever high quality format is available when this movies comes out.

Planning to check out Inglorious Bastards within the next couple days or so.

Avatar is great visually. Same as TomCat I kinda kept my eyes open during the first hour of the flick. Everything that's CGI is smooth, especially the CGI characters delivering dialogue.

Seen Paranormal Activity at last, the one with Katie rocking back and forth at the ending.

That's some classic marx brothers right there: amazing how appropriate a 70 year old movie still is today

Rented District 9 and it wasn't bad. Not exactly what I was expecting, but pretty entertaining overall.

finally got around to this today. It certainly wasnt bad. But not really alot of one liners/laugh out loud moments as office space. I like mike judge, i think he's actually one of the better comedic writers around and this stayed true to his style. The cast knocked it out of the park (but whats to be expected from them?) although Koechner and Affleck actually steal most of the movie.

Also just watched I Love You Man. Paul Rudd is comedic gold.

Harry Potter 6
Adventureland

Both not bad. Adventureland is hard to believe from the director of superbad. Its pretty cliche but a nice little movie anyway

Harry potter 6 is probably the best harry potter since the 2nd one...(which isnt saying alot)

Rented 9, which looks phenomenal on blu-ray, and is just a gem of an animation movie altogether.

Also saw Away We Go, an indie flick with Jim from The Office and Maya Rudolph from SNL, and it was actually very very good. No clichés, no cheesy stuff, just a very solid performance from all the actors and a lot of substance to the story. Recommended (Y)
