Greece is playing bad though, especially in the first half. They would get there but they would not shoot. If the game ends in a 1-0 win for Russia, I think it is well deserved. HUGE mistake by the Greek goalie! There was no need for him to get out of his place, he should have stayed in the small box.

Well, there goes the Euro 2004 champs; Grece will not make the knockout stages with the loss today against Russia. Sweden lost in stoppage time to Spain, after a Spain clear attempt went right to David Villa, who took one touch, beat a Swedish defender and then shot it into the net. I thought Sweden were going to be able to hold onto the tie. From what I saw in the second half, Spain was in control of the game, and with the score 1-1, Sweden was playing to just not concede a goal and keep it a tie.

Greece was a joke. Bad teamwork, bad individuel performances. They played like rocks - static and slowly.

I cannot believe the game I just saw. WHAT A TURNAROUND BY TURKEY!!!!! I seriously got chills while watching it. That was a magnificent game. Unbelievable

EDIT: Turkey's goalie should have his nuts chopped off for getting a red card. Are you serious?!?! Why would you fucking do that after what your team has done!

Damn, only Portugal's game was shown here.... Nihat's goal was... um... stunning... What a turn-around! 2 goals in 2 minutes... :?

Gotta feel sorry for the Czechs, but what an amazing turn-around by Turkey..
(I'm not sure what the rules are, but how come Turkeys goalie didn't cause a penalty with his red card? Not even an indirect free-kick..)

And fuck Portugal. The one time I want them to win (I bet a lot of money on them), the of course loose. haha

And Spain deserved their win the other night.
It's just so damn typical of our coach to go for the tie. Even when (in my biased opinion) Sweden was much better in the first half, they completely backed off and let Spain control the ball the rest of the game..

I hoped that the referee would call a penalty and Czezch would scored. Am I right that then it would have been penaltys? That would´ve been very interestin, especially as Turkey had no goalie.

The ball went out of play before Volkan pushes Koller, so it's just a goal kick.

Don't get my red wrong, it's for Spain.

First 15 - 15 minutes of play, the way Turkey was playing those last minutes, I'm inclined to think they would've scored in that extra time.

If they didn't...then it could've gone to penalty shootouts.

Great 20 minute performance by Turkey. Arda was the best player on the pitch and got his team a win.

And if the match was a draw, it would have gone straight to penalties.

Without their starting goalkeeper, it will be tough to beat the Croatians. That goalie should be kicking himself in the head for what he did.

Croatia is hard to beat, in Turkish point of view. Goalkeeper is one of the major problems, but more importantly, is whether their attacking force - which in my opinion is kinda weak - can pierce through the Croatia defense.

By the way, what happened to Recber? He is a good goalie, or was.

I always thought that rüştü was a better Gk than volkan and volkan should have been sitting on the bench. Rüştü is more experienced and he wont make stupid mistakes like volkan does sometimes.

And ım not that worried about crotian defense after seeing us score 3 goals in 15 minutes against Czechs.

Nihat's first goal isn't really "great offense", and his 2nd is just because of Czech's bad attempt trying to create an offside trap, which is a strategy seldom used by Croatia. That strike was amazing though.
