The rip stick is the main thing I guess...other than that I guess you have to either draw a foul or go for a block. Or you could just stand in their way, or double team. If you move in the same direction as the ball carrier, don't they sort of stick to them and disturb the flow? I think you're supposed to keep pressuring like that to stop them.
I can't play online so I haven't played against a human opponent. Hopefully I can play with some friends this weekend because the AI doesn't seem to be taking advantadge of what the game can offer.

Random thing but, wow, the post play by Shaq in this game is amazing. I don't think I've seen such post play in any game before. I'm not sure if it applies to other players though...This does make Shaq unique though, which is cool.

in live, after i get a rebound im so used to passing the ball directly to half court instead of walking it up.. when i do the same thing here, i keep getting picked off.. at first i thought maybe it was a bug but the AI is just smart and thats probably what happens in a real basketball game. t-mac is unreal in this game

I haven't had a chance to play with / vs . Kobe , T-mac, Lebron , Peirce ... I already started a Knicks Assossiation . Im 0-4 . Starbury is averaging 29/3/8 . Real numbers except he is a scoring beast . Everyone else on my team isn't doing well at all . Sweetney is averaging 12/8/1 .I'm hoping to play again soon , like when I get home from school . J.23 , how much does XBOX Live cost??? Do you pay monthly or yearly ? I'm planning on getting XBOX Live soon , so maybe me andyou can play , hopefully by the end of october . And I'll start a leaugue with you as well.

xbox live is 69 canadian a year (well worth it) so i dont know thats probably like 39 US? i'm not too sure, my math is horrible, but yeah it's annually. but like i was saying theres no lag when i play compared to EA's shitty ass servers.. it's smoothhhhhhhh sailing

You guys need to go to IGN right away and check out the xbox 360 preview and gameplay phootage of nba 2k6 for x360. It's really freaking amazing..it looks better than the pre-rended cut scenes EA has been showing us for years...thats how good it is. :cool:

Sorry about that, I just think that forums should be able to have variations of topics. If we can only have 1 thread for a topic, then we'd have like 10 threads with 50 pages each. This would also make it harder to find information.

I rented the game to get my fix before I buy it. Definately impressive, the controls take some time to get used to, and while the Iso3 moves are nice, the system is not that good because the control isn't as good as I'd live it to be. Sometimes you just go on a left stick moving rampage just so you get some sort of dribble move lol.

Out of the box, while the AI plays decently well [it's on pro], the shot sliders are WAYYYY too high, I drove and kicked to Michael Ruffin my first game, and he made a long 2 from about 21. I thought it was Jamison, that's why I shot it, and when I saw it was Ruffin, I was like WHAA!! Scoring, penetration and dunking is also too easy on default, I had 4 dunks with Arenas, and 7 dunks with Tmac. The computer also hits way too many three's, they were just splashing in like crazy. With slider edits, it looks like the game can be very good though, I'll have to play it a little more and see, but even now, I'm quite impressed...
