Upon alighting the bus from work, I saw a guy's corpse on the highway. He was shot dead, three gunshots on the head.

Didn't think it would get to the point so soon that I'd be making posts on here about wanting to kill myself when sober, but fortunately you guys were spared a couple melodramatic paragraphs.

Sorry to hear about that, Lean. Can't imagine seeing that in real life.

I can give all the advice in the World, but frankly if it's at that stage, get help bro. If you were in Australia I'd suggest checking out beyondblue (http://www.beyondblue.org.au/index.aspx?) as a good starting point but I'm sure there is something similar over there.

It's actually the first time I saw something like that in person. It's disturbing.

Had a bad week. Almost twisted my ankle pretty badly, worst basketball game ever at school, and had my worst 100m time. It was dismal

Agreed. No shame in it at all, indeed seeking some help may well be the best decision you'll ever make. (Y)

In what highway did you see it? Didn't hear it in the news.

McArthur highway, I bet it wasn't shown in the news. People said some media people were there but I didn't see any of the like.

Eh, you'll get used to it eventually even when you see a guy that got hit by a vehicle and his entire body was dragged 15 feet on the road and you can see the 'blood skid marks' and the spread out contents of an unfamiliar body part that used to be his head. At least that guy you saw had a quick and painless death.
Fortunately haven't seen any children involved in such horrible things. If I do, I'll probably try really hard not to cry and instead hide it through anger directed at humanity.

Since I have the same name as our humble admin, I may as well follow (some) of his path. Don't plan to do 400+ straight though, but have run again tonight, which makes it the last five out of seven nights. Since I'm very unfit & need to lose a bit of weight, starting off slowly with 1.5km to 2km jog/run with the dogs (they also need to get in better shape) but am trying to lift intensity every few days.

Like Mr Lin, this has come out of nowhere so just taking it day-by-day & gonna keep it rolling along. Was already starting to try to be a bit more healthy with eating for a little while now, so I guess this is just a natural extension I guess.

Yep, I can see now how it could be. 408 is ridiculous though, considering you've obviously run through illness. An AC Green like streak (I'm talking games played, not the other one  ).

Yeah there was a few days last year when I felt under the weather but I actually felt better for running. Late nights on Saturday also make the Sunday run a little tough at times. ;)

The smell of weed in my hall right now is really overpowering, which is particularly annoying for someone who doesn't smoke.

my bball team is fucking terrible. i honestly thought we were not the worst team in the divsion despite being winless (and 1 loss at the buzzer) but tonight we lost to a team playing 5 on 4 for 32 out of 40 mins after their guy got ejected. im so fucking pissed right now

I know what it's like to play on a losing team. When I was playing junior cricket, I think my team went 3 and a half years without a win. It gets frustrating, but if you're still having fun, that's what really matters I think.

Last week, I designed a storyboard for a US bridal gown brand ad. I went on to animate it, and the client eventually liked it. He responded, and said... "Thank you so much Lean! Fabulous! Awesome!"

...he called me "fabulous" :fruity:

No Twisted Metal today because the shipping address on the pre-order was wrong. Got bad reviews anyway though.
