what are the odds that they sell the warrior as DLC at a later date? i dont think i want to buy the game as i just wont have any time to play it but will try to get it down the road. however if i cant get the warrior then it loses a lot of appeal to me. i am all about the old school wrestlers. maybe its best to wait for 2k15 and see who they have for the next gen

Well, Mike Tyson was a pre-order bonus in WWE '13 and was ultimately made available as DLC later on, so I'd say it's at least a possibility.

This year, we’re broadening our focus, with a nostalgic gameplay mode that covers nearly three decades of WWE history with more than 45 historic, groundbreaking and legendary matches, including Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III, The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania X8 and The Rock vs. John Cena at WrestleMania XXVIII. The 30 Years of WrestleMania Mode

In addition to all of the detailed in-game historic cut-scenes and archival WWE footage, the 30 Years of WrestleMania Mode also includes the greatest roster in franchise history, featuring legendary names like Hulk Hogan, The Rock, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin and many more.

More names for the mode will be revealed on August 17th.

I would assume not. Wrestlemania 20 match in the game would probably be Cena vs Big Show, because it's WWE and they prefer more Cena. That or Undertaker vs Kane.

Eddie vs Angle? Angle would surely have to be involved; there's surely no way they're not picking the triple threat from 22. Hogan's in, and if they're worried about anyone from TNA you'd think it would be him.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did Cena vs Big Show but yeah, there's no way they're including Chris Benoit, which is a perfectly reasonable stance.

This is the match I'm hoping for the most. Depends if they decide to put in Angle or not. I can easily see them taking Cena/Show though.

edit: Just read that Hogan signed a special contract with TNA that allows him to negotiate merchandise and video game appearances separately. Angle does not have that type of contract, so he's probably out. Really sucks, the matches this guy had at Mania. HBK, Eddie, Brock, ...

I love that triple threat match in WMXX. That match made me pay attention and watch more wrestling again before the rise of super Cena.
It's one of those matches where I hoped it would never end and those three just continue taking it out in each other.

seeing as i have not played one of these in forever i am going to have to learn about the modes it offers. is there a career mode where you just keep going? create a pay per view type of system where i get to make all the matches even if i dont play them? does it keep records (not past but current, everyone starts 0-0) for everyone? they are really winning me over with bringing in the past wrestlers but i really need to see what modes it has to offer me.

You pretty much described their WWE Universe mode. The idea behind it is great but I never really enjoyed it myself as the CPU tends to do weird decisions with match making and cutscenes and stuff like that. I do think the majority of people likes it though. Maybe it gets better in 14.

Hey, I got a point. They aren't gonna have the Triple Threat match for obvious reasons. They are not gonna have Eddie vs Angle due to Angle in TNA. So probably will be Cena/Show or Taker/Kane, or maybe that evening gown match.

It's a shame that Martha Hart is very unlikely to allow Owen to be in the game. Bret vs Owen from Wrestlemania X would've been fun to replay.

Like Buzzy said earlier, Hogan has a special contract with TNA which allows him to controll his licensing. Angle doesn't have that. It could very well be a possibility of having Bret vs Owen in the game. The lawsuit was settled back in April.

It was, but the whole point of the lawsuit is that Martha Hart doesn't want WWE using Owen's likeness. Unless she's changed her stance on that, unfortunately he's not going to be included.

I still have a glimpse of hope that the two companies worked something out that would benefit them both. It doesn't look like there's that much bad blood between them anymore. For example Christian appearing on Slammiversary 2012 while being under contract with the WWE. They could help their game sales with a guy like Angle in there and it would promote TNA's current product.
As a fan who'd love to see Kurt in a WWE game again, I hope the two companies can be professional and work out a deal.

because TNA let Flair goto the HoF with the four horsemen. Christian did it out of contractual obligation, it killed his E push and according to dirt sheets he was not pleased about any of it

This mode is gonna be very repetitive if 80% of the matches are gonna be based around Hogan, Rock, Austin, HHH, Cena, Taker and HBK. Which is most likely gonna be the case.
