I guess anything's possible, but I have my doubts until a few reputable sources start picking up that story. It just seems like Vince would go out with a bit more fanfare than that.

Nope. Shane doesn't work for WWE anymore, hasn't for over a year.

Just seen MITB. Fucking awesome, surprising results (Bryan winning, Christian winning) and great spots on the MITB match.

Brutal.

It's great to see Daniel Bryan get a MITB shot. He's kind of been treading water but if they give him a chance, he could be a great champion in the vein of Bret Hart.

Not sure that it's completely legit, but this could certainly be the start of a transition period (or rather, continuation, what with HHH being in charge of a lot of the talent-related stuff now).

Probably just a way to write Vince off TV and get HHH back on in a non-wrestling capacity. WWE is a publicly traded company so if McMahon was really stepping down, there'd be legitimate announcements and press releases because that's something investors need to know. As yet there have been none, so for now I'm inclined to believe it's all a work and Vince will be as hands-on as ever.

It just goes to show how well worked shoots can work if they're well done, though. Some of WWE's best stuff in a while in my opinion.

Seen the PPV, overall a great (yes, great) show. I love the Chicago crowd chanting for CM Punk just right after the opening pyros went off. It's high time for a baby face turn for Punk.

They really need to end Cole's heel gimmick. Ideally they need to limit his exposure on WWE TV and bring back JR but since that seems highly unlikely at this juncture, ending Cole's heel run is the next best thing.

I'm at the point where I don't really mind it anymore. He doesn't ride the Miz's jock as much anymore - well, he probably still does, but since he dropped the belt, he doesn't get as much airtime anymore, so it's gotten less I guess - and his back and forth with Booker on Smackdown can be somewhat entertaining at times.

What's funny is the progression of his standpoint on certain wrestlers, like Christian. Since he became a heel he's been supporting him, before that he wasn't on his side.

That being said, I'm totally for ending his gimmick. But I don't really care if they don't either.

That's always how it is with heel commentators. I just think the traditional way works best (and that's why it's been the standard for so long); face play-by-play, heel colour commentator.

Any ideas if they are going to change the design of the WWE title? What are your thoughts if the title that was awarded to the winner of the tournament still has the Cena/Spinner design?

Awesome. (Y) All a work but what a great angle this is shaping up to be.

The rumour is that they'll introduce a new belt, which I'm all for. It'll be disappointing if they introduce another spinner belt but at this point I have to admit I'm kind of used to it. The way the titles are booked bothers me more than the design these days but if we have seen the last of the spinner belt, so much the better.

If they do change it, I don't wanna have to say "Damn I miss the spinner belt" in a few weeks, because of how ugly and ridiculous the new one looks.
The last few new belts they made weren't really great. New tag team belts, Divas belt - meh.
The last good one they introduced was the silver ECW belt, I liked that one.

That's true, but I think even a bland design would be an improvement on the pimped out spinner belt, which should've been retired after Cena's first reign ended.

The spinner belt's been gone for years. The design hasn't changed, sure, but it hasn't spun since 2006 or so.

The spinning was done off-screen, so not really.
