Have to agree about the grid thing, when I was playing, there was a lot of green space. Couldn't set up roads as efficiently as I could in Sim City 4.

Likely they are visiting your parks. A sim will go to a park (or public library) if they cannot go shopping due to lack of shops or lack of money. Since parks are free, going 'park shopping' doesn't drain the household's income, yet provides the same increase of happiness.

EA lied about what the servers do and how they are required, lying to themselves that people want to have an always online requirement (yes, they said that), and are just being hypocritical and terrible.

if you spend some time in Origin chat and explain that you own or have played all or most of the games on the list, they can gift you a different EA game.

Downloading Crysis 3 now because of it. Said I played through ME, DS, and MOH on consoles, have bejeweled and PvZ on my phone, and I have BF3/NFS on my account already. They had me redeem one of the free games (I did SC4 just incase they were going to screw me over) then gave me a code for Crysis 3, removed SC4 from my account, and threw me a 15% off a future non-sale item for being a good boy.


Anyway, the wife played for hours and hours last night. I wished I recorded it, the shit she said made me cringe and laugh so hard.
"I think....I think.....I need more roads" "....why?" "because, roads....um.....dammit."
"WHY WON'T THE FIRETRUCKS GOTO THE FIRE, ITS ACROSS THE STREET IDIOTS"
Placing alternating residential zones instead of lining the entire side of the road.
"Can we turn this guy off, I don't want any Industrial, can I fire him?"

and of course, since the game is broken in past SimCity standards, her non-industrial city was more successful than anything i've made so far.

Offline patch is out now, updating and will give it another shot

Offline is a good move for them. the only thing that will salvage the game for me is increased city size. I don't want to spend so much time on it only to run out of space. I played the shit out of simcity 2000 and what was great was that it took a long time before you run out of room. have they updated that yet? i haven't really kept up with the latest news on the game after i gave up on it
