Wallyhopp: When trades occur in The Association, how well does the AI reacts to its new superstars? Will Phoenix change its fast-breaking tendencies when they trade for a Tim Duncan? Does the CPU re-evaluate its player personnel and change its "playcalling"? Is that where player tendencies come into play? Or does OVERALL PLAYER RATING have precedence over everything, in regards to player touches and shots for the superstars on new teams?
Answer: The player tendencies take precedence over everything else, so if Tim is traded to Phoenix, you won't see him playing the same way Amare does. And yes, the CPU's playcalling changes based on personnel. So if Shaq gets traded to Seattle, Ray and Rashard will still put up 3's but they will also look to run post plays for Shaq in the half court.

Well he does take them sometimes, but look at the animation when he shot it... just like "SHAQ" style.

Player movement and spacing is unreal, the superstars play like superstars and the role players play like....well...roleplayers. Seems every team runs just like the real life counterpart, it's pretty amazing how it has come across. ID missed a lot of animations, but you see a TON in NBA 2K6, some are just plain sickening.
Oh yes. Don't let the movie clips fool you. AI vs. AI doesn't tell the whole story. People complaining about AI not shooting and Corver taking all the shots...haha...Just like in real life, AI has learned to get the team involved early on, then he'll light it up in the clutch. AI lit me up for 46 when I was the Pistons, he was making some crazy shots, lol.
Miami will pound you w/ Shaq and bury the open shot when you double. The Suns ran me off the court when I was the Rockets, LOL.
HAHA....You're right, haven't touched tendancy sliders, but man....Iverson lit me up for 46, but Paul Pierce absolutely WENT OFF on me. He was just simply ON FIRE, I'd give him the J, he'd bury it, I'd come up, he'd drive by me AND 1. Launching 3's, give and go's. Man, I just could NOT stop him. I finally just had to double him and hope the open guy would miss. He lit me up for 53, LMAO! It was one of my first games though, as I was getting used to the controls...(yeah, that was it)...
what if any bugs have you found not looking for any in particular just want to know if there are any that jump out at you
So far, the only thing I have really noticed is that when I pass it down into the corner, sometimes the defensive player will run towards the offensive player w/ the ball and when he gets there, he does some "Mario Running"...it really looks odd and out of place, but I don't see it too often.
How is the CPU's decision making in terms of passing? Are their too many sloppy passes, or do they make good decisions overall?
I've seen some sloppy passes, but then again, those happen in real life. I definitely don't see it being an issue, I've seen a lot more good passes than bad, for sure. Sometimes the "D" just makes a great play, so while it was a good pass, the "D" just made it look bad.

The overall scorers aren't averages, because obviously when talking about a basketball game, Graphics might not matter as much, and definately doesn't weight as much as gameplay etc.
The Review is terrible though, but the thing you have to remember is that IGN is not a sports review site, they're a general gaming review site. Both them and Gamespot have crappy sports reviews for the most part. 2K6 has a big learning curve control wise for a sports game, even Steve from OS was saying he still hasn't gotten the isomotion control down yet, and is still struggling with it a little. I think that has been a reason for a low of the lower scores...
The only review that matters is OS [to those who like to use reviews as a gauge], and even then, I had planned on buying this and NBA Live before any info came out in the first place, so I don't care. I think it will be a great game along with Live, and I will have a lot of basketball fun this year
