Immigrants are not stealing from America, they keep it going. If there were no such thing as the lower class, American would fall apart. They are doing the shitty jobs, so "real Americans" don't have to. Would you rather live in a country in which you could spend thousands of dollars on your education, achieve a degree in your chosen field, or even a masters or doctorate, and then go out into the real world and spend 40 years earning minimum wage? Be grateful that you live in a country where if you work hard, you can earn a good living for you and your family.

Its really disappointing to hear that this kind of racism still exists in the world. Anyone from any race should be permitted to live and work anywhere on earth they should choose.

I realize that you live in a country where you are conditioned to live in fear of endless (and non-existent) threats. And as such, a large chunk of your governments surplus (now a deficit) has been spent on protecting youselves from the "evil doers."

Give it up. Stop living in fear and doubt, and for fucks sake, stop blaming every country on earth but your own for all your problems. America has fucked up America. Not the Mexicans, not the Iraqis, and not Al-Queada. Your government should stop focussing on protection (which seems to include violence, hatred and greed) and started focussing on improving the quality of life of the people who struggle to maintain a decent living for their families in the 'land of opportunity.'

I don't like getting in big discussions of politics and things like that, but I'll just say something. It's very easy for people outside the US (and it seems like this is the majority, except for IndyPacers and Mazz) to say things like "Illegal immigrants only take jobs that no one else in America would take". I'm sure everyone who posted in this thread would prefer not to clean the restrooms at McDonald's. But I don't think you can say that if someone was desperate, they would not take that job. To say illegal immigrants are the only lower class citizens in America is ridiculous. There are plenty of people struggling to get by just like any other illegal immigrant might be. There are ghettos in America that are filled with poverty.

As for Andreas's stand on why Mexicans may have babies even if they don't have a good enough job, does that mean they should be able to have babies whenever they want at America's expense? There's nothing wrong with Sweden, but since you don't live in America you aren't the one feeling the ill effects. As I said before, there is certainly a lower class in America that would take jobs. Maybe you shouldn't believe everything you hear about Americans being stuck up and full of themselves. We have our fair share of blue collar workers, and if you choose to ignore that you are ignorant.

Dweaver, your 'American pilot' scenario seems a bit warped to me. It's laughable if you actually think that it's so typical for American pilots to crash. We don't put people who are mentally retarded in the sky, we actually work hard in training. Again, I hope you don't believe that every American is stuck up and full of themself. As for them stoning him in public, we do nothing of the sort. We don't inflict any physical pain on them, we send them back to their home country. Our immigration laws are good laws that protect Americans. Indifference only brings us more government chaos, terrible tragedies, and the road to our own demise. Military troops must be placed on our borders, we must enforce immigration laws here where we live, and the government of Mexico must stop promoting and assisting the illegal migration of its people into our Country.

Workers for critical industries are allowed to enter the country legally. Arguments to the contrary are pure balderdash. There are those who seek financial and political profit from the uneducated masses of millions of culturally isolated, easily exploited, poor and desperate people. Whoever and whatever the motives of the profiteers may be, We, the people of the United States must demand our security, our rights, and the needs of our families and fellow citizens come first.

I never said I didn't like immigrants. This whole debate is about ILLEGAL immigrants.

There are a few reasons I think for having more babies. Perhaps they, oh-I-don't-know, love each other? Economy isn't something you should keep in consideration if you love the other person in my opinion. I'm not a fan of the whole, 'Oh I love you so with all my hart, but you should get a better job first'-mentality... There's also the fact that some might need to have many children in order for them to have a future what so ever (high SIDS and so on). Besides, birth control isn't something that everyone has. Then there are also the things about wanting to bring another life into the world, and experiencing the strongest feeling a person can feel.

Yeah, thats it. It has nothing to do with the fact that alot of them make "anchor babies" just so they can get a free ride, instead of earning the right as a citizen like so many others do/did.

By the way, show this video to a Mexican that went through HELL to get his citizenship here and see how he reacts. If he laughs is he a racist too? Moron.

Maybe if the US stopped scrutinizing against every little thing wrong and focusing on trying to eliminate negatives (we all know that flag burning is the source of everything wrong in the world!) and instead tried to do something positive to improve the state of things in the world then maybe they would be "doing something right in the eyes of other countries".

Naw, I don't mind. Canada's population is actually relatively small. We sure could use more people to make this country prosper more. I wouldn't be too worried about my job or my friends' jobs. It's not like illegal immigrants can have jobs where a degree or a diploma is a requirement. I'm sure Canadian employers wouldn't want to run the risk of taking in illegal immagrants for an extra profit. Btw, I wonder how our border control are these days.
