I like heavier stuff too, but once in awhile I like to listen to some Hoobastank. Is it a crime to listen to something that isn't as angry once in awhile?

I mean in relation to the songs I mentioned below it, like Powerman 5000, Element Eighty, Metallica and Pantera (especially 6 to 8 and Morningstar, they're pretty calm).

I would just like to repeat something I said in another thread, Muse kicks ass. Major ass. THEY REALLY REALLY KICK ASS!

I made a Muse sig a few weeks ago but it's shit, I might have another go.

Made some purchases today...
Staind - 14 Shades Of Grey ($9.95 AUS about $6 US)
Staind - Break The Cycle ($9.95 AUS about $6 US)
Uncle Kracker - Double Wide ($4.95 AUS about $3 US)
It was weird, I was going to Leading Edge to get a CD for Naomi and I couldn't get "How About You" by Staind out of my head... it was like the first time I'd even thought about Staind for months, then I get to the shop and look at this pissy little display stand and Break The Cycle was sitting there, so I grabbed it but I was annoyed that it didn't have How About You on it... so I walk inside, start randomly flicking through the budget CD section (so I didn't look completely gay buying a BEP CD

) and I see 14 Shades Of Grey for the same price
Here's a list of recent CD's I've "bought"...
Fall Out Boy - From Under The Cork Tree
Limp Bizkit - The Unquestionable Truth Part 1 (dear God, there's a part 2

)
System Of A Down - Mezmerise
White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan
Incubus - A Crow Left Of The Murder
Funeral For A Friend - Hours
Foo Fighters - In Your Honor
Gorillaz - Demon Days
Anyways, I was going to actually buy The Offsprings Greatest Hits but I'd already spent $80 so I didn't feel like breaking that magical $100 mark in a CD shop I'd never been to before.

You got some nice stuff like Staind, Foo Fighters, System of a Down and Incubus, but then you get Fall out Boy and Limp Bizkit. :\

I really like Fall Out Boy... the Limp Bizkit thing was out of curiosity though. I wanted to see if they got good, and unfortunately, they haven't.

is Demon Days the Gorillaz's new album? as my sister's bf bought it a while back and it surprised me in that it was actually pretty good....and pretty good from 1st song to last song which is pretty rare for any album....
Mon Jul 04, 2005 10:07 pm
yes Demon Days is the new Gorillaz album, i like it too
Mon Jul 04, 2005 10:18 pm
I still haven't listened to all of it... I think about 60% of the songs I have I haven't listened to.

sounds like my DVD collection....if I see a DVD on special ($10-$15AUD) and it's a good movie then I'll grab it....then I sometimes don't watch it for ages....

I picked up the White Men Can't Jump DVD for like $10 the other day, was very pleased.

that's an awesome combo Filip....3 great movies....and that's a nice pickup to there Jae....never spend more than $15 on a DVD though, that's my rule....and I'll only spend that much if it's double dvd or special feature one....although I did fork out $60 a while back on the Band of Brothers boxset but that had to be done....

I hate to love the music I do sometimes. Been trying to get my hands on a few Keb Darge mixtapes for ages now, and since they've been listed as OOP here for years it haven't gone so good. And been feverishly chasing The Sunburned Hand of The Man's CD's the last month (they've got a biiiiig catalogue) without luck.
So. Now I've decided to import the buggers, my patience has been worn thin. But OH HOW FUCKING EXPENSIVE IT IS. The CD's in themselves costs $110.36, add to that $25 for shipping and +25% of the total worth in taxes to get it out of customs here in Sweden.
So for 8 CD's I'll pay roughly $170. Pisses me off it does.

8 CD's over here would cost somewhere between $200-$250.

cd's here only cost 20bucks.
or ten bucks from teh 10 dollar album music shops.

But we're talking CDR's in many cases, it's not a "typical" release since it's homerecordings and stuff.
That' also kinda annoys me that hte stuff I really likes is often the strange stuff that any label (except på Ipecac) wont touch with a pole.

$20? I struggle finding anything half decent for under $25 unless I go to some dodgy little shop that requires a secret password to get into.

Those shop is the best.
The $ = 7.77SEK and I usually pay around 16$ for my regular CD's, so the basic price is often cheaper, but the shipping and customs makes it pricey.
