Some pretty good matches in k-1. Manhoef getting knocked out was amusing. How about Maeda? I was impressed with that guy.

Nice to see Roy win and too bad Schoonover is going back into service. He would have been one of the guys I wanted to see fight more.

I dunno. I'm reading some rumors about fighting Mousasi. He'll probably be moving divisions depending on the opponent.

Finally caught up with TUF. I was rooting for Schaub in the finale, Nelson just seems to be one hell of an asshole. I bet Dana didn't like to see him winning either.

I just want to see Rampage-Evans now, but what the fuck is it with Jackson filming that movie now, of all times?
Is it still going to happen?

Rampage is gonna honor his contract from what I've read. I think he has one fight left. But Evans is already scheduled to face Thiago Silva so I don't know who Rampage will be facing.

I actually think of Nelson as a pretty funny, likeable guy with his self-deprecating humor. Dana just doesn't like him so much. It is bad for business to have a fat guy be the champ.

Dana's just jealous that one big fat guy has a successful fighting career and Dana didn't. I still like both regardless.

I love how he walked out to "I'm Fat" by Weird Al. And had himself announced as a kung fu fighter.

He's gonna take Shields belt at 185 for sure. As for Mousassi, I read somewhere that he has it in his contract that he can only fight on Strikeforce cards that include Fedor for some reason. Doesn't make a ton of sense to me really. So that means that if Hendo is fighting Mousassi then they have Fedor on the card as well, which uses up all their top talent for one show.

I would've have him fight Mousasi too soon, he'd probably lose. If that was to happen then his value as a draw would take a pretty big hit. Shields would be a good one since he'd most likely beat him and get a title. Then a few token defenses before Mousasi takes it.

I think that Melvin Manhoef signed with Strikeforce. He's not top class fighter w/o doubt since he has 0 ground games, but there's no doubt he's one of the top stirkers in the world, so I think his matches will draw much attentions. I also look forward to it. He was on a downhill in K-1, probably the trend will continue at Strikeforce. But in K-1, he was fighting against heavy weights most of times in K-1 kickbox style rules, so it wasn't a good place for him anyways.

Isn't Hendo coming off from 3 wins streak from UFC? He sure did leave Dana stunned by signing with StrikeForce.

Manhoef is good for excitement. I'll be sure to watch him in strikeforce. Same goes for Hendo.

I seen a news that Bobby Lashley signed with StrikeForce. For UFC's good news, it seems Brock's recovery from surgery is going well. Him vs Lash would have been something even if it wasn't for a title. But I guess it's never going to happen.

Was watching the UFC countdown to Penn/Sanchez, Frank Mir is such a douche. He has gotten huge though, I guess Brock molesting him like a 5 year old at a church camp made him realize he needed to get stronger.

I love Frank Mir.

Looking forward to seeing Fedor vs Lashley. Does anyone think that is what they are trying to make happen?

That should be a long way off. Lashley can't even finish Jason Guida yet.

Anyway, read that Henderson approached Coker. Says he wants to fight Shields, Mousasi and Fedor in succession.

W-L-L I'd imagine. Still would watch and enjoy all three though... well except Shields, I don't really give a shit about him.

Frank Mir lost me when Nogueira beat him at soccer and Mir made it sound like Nog had played for the Brazilian national team when they were both equally spaz at it. Plus calling out Brock when he's lost 50lbs and might never fight again, pretty brave. I hope he beats Congo though.

Does anyone think that is what they are trying to make happen?

They will fast track him. I think they'll give Lashley a few fights, probably 2 cans and someone decent and hope that he wins them all. Then a shot at Fedor. The issue will be getting decent fights for Fedor in the meantime, after Overeem their supply is empty. Unless they can convince Henderson to fight him earlier than he wants to or something.

Along with that Hendo quote (which is actually from an interview with Scott Coker), Coker mentioned that Overeem and Werdum won't be fighitng until Winter 2010. So I don't know what Fedor will do till then.

Me too, watched it. Penn I think is a much better fighter overall so he should be able to win. I guess we'll see soon.

Frank Mir's been talking a lot of shit lately, and this is his chance to back his words up. Mir also seems he got bigger. But I'm rooting for Kongo on this one.

He did. He weighed in at around 250+ lbs. A lot heavier than Kongo. I've read that he was walking at around 266 the day before.

Holy shit. Not a big fan of Mir but that was impressive. Now I wanna see a rubber match with Lesnar and a rematch with a healthy Nog.

No kidding.

Also Penn impressed me once again. He was never taken down, nor got hit in the face.

Awesome UFC event this was...

I agree. Ufc is getting better all the time. And the difference between Mir and Sanchez. If you can't back it up, don't talk shit.

I'm not 100% convinced Sanchez ever completely knows what he's saying or doing at any given time. See: cartwheel, the yes. Mir on the other hand knows exactly what he's doing. I saw an interview with him while he was supporting some relative of his who was having an amateur fight, Frank was being really humble and complementary about Kongo. Then once the UFC cameras go on he changes completely. Pretty smart, it worked for him.

Sanchez is religious so most of the things he does are to please his god.
