Games you're playing right now, and my freetime's demise

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Yeah I've played that too when I was a kid. (Y)

Anyway, a video I saw on YouTube about the TMNT series of games (except the last two games: Battle Nexus and its predecessor.)

Anyone play the Battlestar Galactica game on xbox Live Arcade? It was 400 points April 5th only (usually 800 points) and I had some spare points sitting around; so I nabbed it. Haven't gotten much of a chance to play it yet, just played the first level a bit enough to admire the cool "Looks and feels 3D but totally isn't" graphic presentation.

Dropped close to $100 for a new pair of gaming headphones so I can play while my wife is working at home. They are awesome.

Been playing nothing but Mass Effect and Bully: Scholarship Edition for days. Now those are two great games.

The only thing that bugs me about Bully is how fast the time moves. You're just doing a mission and all of a sudden it's 7pm and you're trespassing in the school... but you just need to get Fatty to the bathroom and you already failed this mission twice and you're so ticked off and.... oh, sorry. Great game though ;)

Oh, and Viva Pinata: Party Animals is not a bad minigames compilation, if you can get past the cuteness.

I have been addicted to Kingdom Hearts 2 lately. I want to get the original but cannot find any. Any RPG games you can recommend me in the PS2 console?

Lean that was a great video. i had to chuckle at the frustrations with the first NES turtles game, which i own. I have the exact same gripes and I have personally never beat the game (even on the PC with an emulator with in-game saves)

I also own Turtles in Time which is easily the best one.

Only game that im totally addicted to is Football Manager, so easy to play it while working on an assignment etc, just make it windowed mode then watch your productivity slip.

In the holidays I got hardcore into Neverwinter Nights 2, and then onto the expansion. Havent completed the expansion as I just dont have the time to sit down for a good session of it. (I like to play for about 2-3 hours at a time on RPG games).

But yeah anyway I deffinately reccomend Football Manager to any Football fan, especially if you follow a lot of teams and players and are interested in the tactics and personel management side of it.

And NWN2 should be played by any RPG fan.

I refuse to indulge in videogame crack, almost got addicted to it, thank god for the expensiveness of non-pirated games here.

I got the Gran Turismo 5 "Prologue" (a fancy word for "this game is taking too damn long so we'll give you what we got now and you'll wait another year for the rest of it") as well as the "new" dualshock 3 controller today. finally the PS3 controller feels like a controller and doesn't feel like you'll crush the thing while playing a game.

great racing game as expected of the GT series. I was severely disappointed when I realized that there is absolutely NO tuning in the game. that was the best part imo about buying cars and shit is making em better. otherwise, there's an interesting Drifting mode that's new. pretty much like NFS's Drifting mode. Online racing is a new feature for the GT series. I liked it because it was cool racing other people and your opponents not racing in a perfect line like the computer opponents do. I also liked how winning races gave you credits to use to buy more cars. the online mode will breathe new life into the series.

Playing Assassin's Creed on PC right now. Looks quite nice with all the bells and whistles on, but I can already see how repetitive it's gonna be after a while. The controls are pretty intuitive with a gamepad though.

If you finish the A-series, a new S-series will become available, and that lets you tune the cars..

Yeah i didnt find too many issues, once you have the game patched to the latest patch its fine, can't wait to get all my internal assessment out of the way so I can carry on with the expansion.

The Grid demo has taken some attention away from IV, same with Guitar Hero 2.

Oh and Mario Kart, but I only play that when I can pry the Wii away from my girlfriend.
Opinions are my own.

Playing Mass Effect on PC right now. I don't have a console so I had never played it before and I was highly dubious about its success on the 360, but I must say it's truly deserved.
Very cinematic, deep space-opera ambiance (Muse could have done the perfect soundtrack for this game), choices that seem to actually have consequences, good visuals (even though I'm still not impressed with the U3 Engine), great voices and lip synch, brilliant music...
Highly recommended for PC gamers, especially since it contains some PC-only interface improvements and such.

man i barely had the patience to do the B series. haha

yeah im used to the other GTs where you can modify stock cars. anyways I returned the game because it's essentially a $40 demo. I'll wait for the real game.

I am currently playing Smackdown vs Raw 2008 on the PS2 right now and Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Those two are (Y) for me because of its multiplayer. But the game is kind of repetitive(sp?) and the commentary on the SVR 08 is kinda hilarious though, but still having fun playing 24/7 mode. Cant decide which to play though. I might put out my Persona 3 FES as well.

Budokai 3 is as flashy as the anime itself. And I love how they manage to put in as much characters.
